I have just checked the met office just there. It's showing rain from 1pm. Either you are mistaken or the prediction has changed in the last few hours

I would have volunteered as a steward for that game but got an exam a day later :( I think we will get play most definitely, worst case scenario we will lose 20 overs in total but that's about it; but I think the weather will be fine. In the mornings it's always overcast in Birmingham and there's opportunity to make in-roads during the first 10 overs and I'd not mind us having a bowl first because conditions will get better for batting but with the high stakes that may not matter but Sarfraz should not think about that and I doubt he will, we'll chase if it comes to it grrrrrrrrrr :akhtar

Yea I think we should chase and try restrict the Indian line up. Not only will it give us the advantage of bowling in overcast conditions, on a fresh pitch - but it's also not easy to be able to figure out what a good total is against a batting line up like India's.

Bowl first - restrict them to 200-230 and chase it down with 6.4 overs to spare and 5 wickets in hand :imad

Looking much better than what it was in the past couple of days.

By the way, BBC is based on Met Office and that's why their prediction is pretty much the same.

The met office have lost the BBC contract nowadays.

England should not host any ICC tournament for next 10 years

Why people are reacting as if it's the first a game has been washed out in ICC tournament first time?

England should not host any ICC tournament for next 10 years

Asking for trouble scheduling the tournament in early June. Last June was one of the wettest on record.

Should've re-scheduled to July-August, or even start in late June when the summer weather usually peaks and are less likely to have rain delays.

If it will rain around 1pm then the team batting second will have to face overcast conditions plus soggy outfield. One thing in their favour could be the revised targets but that helps if they survive in the overcast conditions.

Tough decision at the toss for sarfraz. Kohli will opt to chase whatsoever the condition is what I guess.

I have paid an arm and a leg to watch my first ever Pakistan v India match. Please God let it be 100 overs long!

Its weather.com VS Met office. Weather.com suggests rain and met office predicts no rain. Lolz duno which one is the accurate one.

I get the feeling this tournament is going to quickly turn into a bit of a farce.

I have a feeling it will be like today's game AusVNZ. Often these type of weather patterns either clear up quickly for remain for days here.

Whoever wins the toss will be wise to bowl first as this could come down to D/L. Pakistan batting first with rain will make it easy for India.

I think we will have a better a idea tomorrow of what the weather would look like for sun gameee

Met office is famously poor.

Pretty sure we're going to get a repeat of today based on what I'm seeing

I think not only Sunday but our next match against South Africa will be rained off...

Batting 2nd would be good especially is DL comes into play.

According to the weather report, we should get a match, but it might be rain-shortened.

I wish we get overcast conditions but only a minimal amount of rain.

Next week looking more overcast and cloudy, meaning swing should be on offer.

Just a shame, Pak got SA next week.

It's drizzling on and off in Birmingham at the moment. We should get a game , possible interruptions but hopefully a result and a Pakistan win. But I have a bad feeling we will win the toss and bat.

Google (weather.com) now predicts it will rain from 10 till 2 but bbc predicts it will not rain

Hows the weather looking guys? Bbc and met office suggests no rain while weather.com predicts showers starting 9 am

everyone from pak including me praying for rain....there is no way we can beat India with this team ..we will be so embarrassed with another defeat from india in icc matches. allah mian pls bring rain and save us from pilght of defeat

All weather sources I've checked are showing we should get a full match in. I only see indications of rain at 9 am, and then 4 pm. Only google weather is showing a 33% chance of rain all day ....

Those who live in birmingham would know better, comment guyss here

it is raining right now but......
the forecast has improved greatly, there might be slight rains byt that wont affect the game..... we will get a 45 over match atleast

Uman Naq interesting that it is raning there now because according to all weather forecasts it is clear atm in birmingham. Weird

MachoKhan cant say anything abt it.... I just switched on tv and star sports channel was showing it is raining abt 30 min ago

If only it was held at the Oval. Clear skies in London. Beautiful weather for cricket.

From what I hear, 11 AM - 1 PM there's an 80% chance of 1 mm of rain.

From 2 PM - 4 PM there's a 40% chance of a drizzle.

So we should be fine, with probably 2 hours of a delay.

Fingers crossed for a game of 40+ overs.

Big Mac stop dreaming about GIFs, wake up and tell us what it's like
