Alright alright, make way for the two best teams of the tournament. Indeed the mother of all battles is here.

Time to hurl your predictions in.

Let me be the first one and predict that if Pakistan bowl first, India will score 300 runs and Pakistan will chase it down successfully (Dont laugh).

It will be one sided whoever win. Pakistan by 4-6 wickets or 60 runs

India by 3-4 wickets or 100 runs.
 
Pakistan will win the toss and score field first

Yes and cows fly.

300 is below par against Kohli who has massacred every Pakistani bowling line up till date , in tournaments that is. 260 is less than rohit sharma's highest individual score.

340 is needed to make a match of it.

Better yet, bowl first and restrict them to a managable total.

i wish the final could be on saturday..till sunday the buildup will ruin all the confidence our guys have.
 
We have to bowl first.

India chasing is never good news for us.
 
It's almost impossible to predict the dynamics of an India-Pakistan Final.

For the sake of it ;

Pakistan batting first will score 295.
India batting first will score 265.

Key battle is India's number 4 & 5 against Pakistan bowling. That's where match will be won or lost for teams. Get them for a sum lesses than 40 and Pakistan will win.

If they can't handle the buildup of an extra day then we don't deserve to win the CT.
 
India to win, the boys will put in a greater fight this time, but it won't be enough in the end.
 
Pak win the toss, bowl first and you have very good chance. If that happens (Pak wins the toss and bowls first), I reckon Pakistan will win.

Both deserved to be in the final. May the best team win. Good luck!
 
Of course it's 75% India but we are just due some luck against them and a good performance.

Golden opportunity to wipe away some pain.

Come Sunday, all these predictions will go out of the window ..... you just watch. All you can say is that Indians have slightly better chance of winning since they beat us handily in the First match. Remember in '83 the WI, a powerhouse Cricket Team then, lost only 2 Matches, First and the Last. Both to the Indians !!!!! Hmmmmm ..... ????? Well, we lost the First match to the Indians badly ..... one more to go ..... any thoughts ???? Hmmmm .... ??????

Predict Pakistan's scorecard in the Champions Trophy final if they bat first

Pakistan showed intent in their last inning, chasing 211 in 37 overs. They would have been on their way to a successful 300+ score had they been batting through the inning.

In the case that we're put in to bat first, what does our scorecard look like?

Let's use the most likely playing XI (not that I agree with this lineup, but our management is not one to make bold selections - Haris is simply not match-ready and to ask him to make his first appearance of the tournament in the final is not practical)

Babar, Hafeez will completely under-perform.

Batting first,

Fakhar, Babar will be top performers...If Malik comes at 4, will bag at least a 50.

If Pakistan Bats first than I see them being all out for 270 and India will easily reach that target

If Pakistan bowls first than I predict India to be all out for 240 and Pakistan will win

I'm getting vibes we might actually do this! One win away from lifting the champions trophy, I now think Pakistan will bat first and get 300-310 and India will be all out for around 275.

On second thoughts, I am beginning to believe more and more that Pakistan will opt to bat first and India to field.

India 245 while chasing 285.
 
Pakistan to win it. Indian batting will flop for the first time in the tournament.
 
Kohli will score less than a 50.

Fakhar will fail for the first time in the tournament.

Hafeez will finally cash in and score big.

Shobby will score fastest ton of the tournament.

Junaid will get smashed.

Pakistan will win.

Aamer Sohail will say "Someone needs to tell Sarfraz that by winning the Champions Trophy and beating India you haven't achieved something"

Pakistan will either thrash India or get thrashed.

There won't be a middle ground.

IMO Pakistan's only chance is chasing the set total.
 
Pakistan will turn up like scared chickens like they usually do against India.

There will also be a blunder in the selection for the team.

Catches will be dropped.

Players will be too afraid to lose their wickets so they won't take singles often.

Bowlers will be thrashed.

In the end India to score 300+ or chase down the total in around 45 overs and Pakistan will score 230 or will bat out the overs but won't reach the 300 target. :)
 
Leave personal stuff out of it - and its a disgrace that some posters are calling our players cowards etc - will not allow it on my watch.
 
Pakistan don't stand any chance whatsoever. You lot will again be smashed and won't return to this forum for many days after. Like always after that you will create multiple threads on how your team is d best and how your bowlers are world class and so on and so forth. This is almost a vicious cycle here in PP.

yours is a dream that malik will score the fastest ton, he has yet to score a fifty let alone a ton

junaid is actually performing good so more can be expected from performing players than flop players like shoaib and co

I will mention again that after Afridi's two sixes, we lost every game to India till now: 2014 T20 WC, 2015 ODI WC, 2016 Asia cup, 2016 T20 WC and now the 2017 CT group match. We basically lost 5 times to India so it is actually possible that we'll lose again? It could happen but given the way Pak and Sarfraz felt about the first loss I get a vibe from the team that they're menacingly looking for revenge. I couldn't remember who started to sledge Sarfraz in the PSL but the way Sarfraz reacted shows he does not get pushed around easy since he started walking up to the player who sledged him.

I'm seeing people on here saying Kohli will score 195*, I don't think he's superhuman enough to do that and he's due a failure given we grab a catch or bowl well. I'm hoping for a Pak win this time around.

Pakistan should go with 5 pacer and then i hope pakistan will win.

I bank them to win. I can sense it and I can see the change in attitude and body language in the players. The hunger the passion the captaincy and the powerpacked bowling unit of Pakistan is once back

I would go with 5 pacers which gives us 1 extra batsman in Fahim.

We have so many spin options but we do not want to give India a sniff with our spinners so I would go with this team.

The ball is not suppose to reverse, so even if kohli fails, india are likely to score 300.
Pak cannot score anything over 250 unfortunately.
