What's new

ICC CT 2017 | India v Pakistan | 4th June, 2017 | Birmingham | India innings

This is an Wajahatullah Wasti (90's nightmare) kinda inning from Rohit, so far. Gotta either hit out or get out and not put unnecessary pressure on Kohli.

Thats why we need Hasan in middle and death overs.

Rightly done by Sarfraz not to give him first 8 overs. Would have gone for plenty in powerplay.

Indian government should give their approval for bilateral ties with Pakistan. Within a couple of years, they will smash our lead in head-to-head encounters.

Then why wasn't another pacer who can bowl with the new ball picked? If Hasan was to be a middle overs bowler then there's no need for Wahab.

Pakistan fixing the match?

Bowling spinners early on.

Bowling spinners against Kholi while he has a great average against them.

Selecting Wahab despite his horrible stats and performances.

Yeh like the last series in india? Right?
Take a break dude. This is an ultra flat track.

DLS will be more favourable to India because they have so many wickets in hand.

This will play in paid hands even though we restricted them nicely last few overs

New ball bowlers havent done much in the first 10 overs in this tournament. Amir hardly swung the ball and it was mostly angle away from right hander for him.
Teams are picking batting heavy sides because 330 is par score in these conditions.
How many wickets in first 8 overs of first innings till now?

Should have picked Fahim over Wahab.

Knew someone would bring that up. That series was a one-off, and Pakistan can still beat India every now and then. However, India are far ahead in every department which means that over the course of 20 odd matches, India will definitely win around 15.

For our sake, let's hope that the Indian government will continue to say no to bilateral series.

and thats because we were trying to bowl spinners up front.
defensive

Which was obviously a blunder.

No one said start off with a spinner (you could make a case for a couple of overs from Hafeez for Dhawan, but I would've started with Hasan).

But looking at the current situation, that's the way to go. Get the spinners done with right now.

Aur khelao Wahab ko

Whoever thought Sarfraz can be a good captain because of his proactive batting were cle arly delusional, leadership is different from primary, secondary or tertiary skill as a player and therefore you can't assume that a batsman or bowler can become a good captain based on their primary skill. I knew from day 1 that this guy isn't captaincy material and the signs are beginning to show.

sarfraz has done enough to show that he is a very good captaincy material he won us U19 WC and then reached quetta underdogs in PSL final

leadership is making the best out of pathetic team and thats what sarfraz is doing here

pakistan team honestly is very pathetic with two half decent bowlers like amir and hasan who cant even take wickets

talk about captaincy when you have good options available in the first place and PCB/micky is not deciding every bit of the game

I second that. It's a logical deduction

If wahab wasn't selected, a lot could've been different. He's a Horrible selection...no wonder Sarfraz had to bowl Imad up front considering there's only two pacers for middle overs.

Rain now is good news. If it continues for around 2 hours before play resumes, it all gets much easier for us.

Wahab is the only down side of the game so far apart from few fielding lapses. Only if he jad hasan's brain, he would be a great bowler.

It wont be a blunder if fast bowlers are able to restrict india in the final overs. I would say it was a master stroke if it happens. If not, then it would prove to be a blunder. He has saved fast bowlers for the last few overs, All depends on the final total India puts up.
