We were walking back to our car and we walked past this guy leaning on a metal bollard by the entrance to The Mailbox, "That looks like Sarfraz Ahmed, hang on that IS Sarfraz Ahmed" and by that point I had walked past him and didn't bother turning back because

A) We had to rush home for Maghrib ourselves

B) I'm not really that bothered by saying hello to a cricketer, unless they are a proper legend like Misbah or Andre Nel.

C) I already hit my peak for most random cricket encounter when I ran into Mohammed Kaif and Lakshmipathy Balaji on a tram in Amsterdam. Nothing will ever top that.

I recognised Balaji immediately because was both an extremely distinctive looking chap in the middle of Amsterdam city centre and it helped that he was wearing an India training jacket

I was younger and like all youngsta beauties I had no chill so I walked up him and think I said something stupid like "Are you Lakshmipathy Balaji?" even though it was pretty bloody obvious. His mate took my camera and prepared to take a quick photo when I realised "Hang on, are you Mohammed Kaif?" and got him to stand in the photo with me while this random guy from the youth hostel I was staying at took the photo. Kaif was cool, Balaji was either miserable or terrified.

We got off at the next stop leaving behind a tram full of white folks who were extremely confused at what the hell had just happened between these brown people )

In my opinion, this warm-up match would be a good opportunity for Shadab to impress the team management that he can bowl skillfully in England and then cement his selection in group matches.

I'm expecting Pakistan to lose both warm-up matches, with the other team dominating us. Fans will be at an all-time low. But a further dent will come to our hopes when Pakistan will be annihilated by India on the 4th of June - however, only to win the next two matches vs the Chokers and the Losers (acha sorry ) and qualify for the Semi's vs England.
