It was a poor pitch for a T20 game.

No team really got going - including the big hitters.

It was not an equal battle between bat and ball.

Groundsmen will say it rained a lot so pitch was soft. Which is true. A closed roof stadium in rainy season is far more preferable.

Pakistan lost fair and square. They didn't assess what a good total would be on that pitch. They went for aerial nothing shots.

But they were at a disadvantage going in first.

i thought it was a good pitch, a bit of movement, a bit of spin, but if u played proper shots u got rewards. it was a 165 pitch, which normally makes for really good t20 games, but pak just didnt bat.

It was a good pitch. Pakistani openers batted too slow and middle order got out while trying to force the issue.

I thought it was a good sporting pitch.

When the match is very close at the end, usually the pitch has been a good one.

It was the pitch Pakistan would’ve wanted not flat something in it for the bowlers however England are too good they still won comfortably.

On a flat wicket the margin of defeat would’ve been higher their batsmen would’ve outclassed ours the gulf in class would’ve been more evident.

What was wrong with the semifinal pitches?

Actually somewhat ideal pitches. Not much bounce. Adelaide oval had a bit more bounce. But it was still flat. But team that batted first didn't realize it Atleast in India's case. After playing on all the difficult pitches they went for par score. Tactically an advantage for chasing side.

Lol, weird excuses. It was a terrific wicket and England outclassed India. India have played alot of cricket in Adelaide and done well there, and they are not amateurs who don't know how a pitch will play out. Pandya showed intent and destroyed enlish bowlers, rest were simply not good enough on the day.

Final pitch was also very good and the better team won. No excuses here.

Perfect pitch.
It has bounce and turn.

Yes good for bowling teams.

But coupled with long boundary, it was not a good pitch for bowling AND batting. No one had a strike rate of 160.

Ball gripped hard, the bounce wasn’t true, it wasn’t a WACA or Jamaica bounce.

A perfect test match pitch. Good for Shan, Stokes and Babar. Not for Hales, Butler, Livingstone, Chacha and Haris.

3 sixes in a score of 275+? No mishit sixes, hard to get the ball off the circle for both teams.

Brilliant pitch. Had pace, bounce and turn. Batsmen had to earn their runs.

The problem with our batting was the inability to rotate the strike and opting to throw the bat recklessly. Even 15 more runs and our bowling would have defended the total.

Brilliant sporting wicket. Pace and bounce, spinners got turn. Pakistan poor attempt at basics with bat was their downfall.

It was a good pitch. Pakistan should've realised that specially in the last 4 overs we just needed single doubles to reach at least 150+

Idk what everyone saw and u may disagree here but watching naseems last two overs was so special. It felt special on tv. Beating stokes with oace and seam it was just awesome. Only if he had some luck on his side. And the oitch wasnt that bad. We were on our way to score 160 when we messed it up so it is twchnically not a perf pitch but not that bad as we made it look

100%, Stokes didn’t know what was happening how he never nicked the ball only he knows, he was also very lucky not to get run out!

It was a good match and was great to watch the fast bowling, and even had something for spinners, if we had 15 more runs, we could have had a better chance to win. The pitch was fine, we just did not bat well.

Yes that is why i said tactically advantageous. Not conditions changed.
