Poor selection from what i heard. Never seen such a weak pace attack for an Indian under-19 team. Add that to not so pacy pitches you become easy targets. Watched a few matches. They require a lot of help from pitches to be effective.Even batting is reliant on 3 or 4 people which was always the case in under-19 world cups in general. India atleast had 1 or 2 bowler opposition would be worried about. This unit has none. Also this Mhatre is not a captain material. His field sets are poor.

Yes this is one of the worst U19 batches I have seen India has fielded. Not a single quality player, including Suryavanshi whom I dont rate highly.

Bangla fans better focus on getting good at senior level instead of focusing on headlines of cricinfo. May be they should start a website like cricinfo and have headlines like "Bangladesh is rocking their way to 238". Perennial whingfest.
 
Unlikely game will resume ... lot of soggy patches .
Btw , SLU19 did huge session fixing while bowling today .

16:45 Local Time, 14:45 GMT, 20:15 IST: The sun is out, but one can see plenty of damp areas in the outfield. The umpires have come out for an inspection, but a huge dark cloud has just come over. They're checking the concerned ares, it does look soft underneath. There si another hue area near the cover boundary which is completely waterlogged. This doesn't look great to be honest. Time is ticking away and we continue to lose overs - the umpires have had a good look and they're heading back to the dressing room. But before that, they're speaking to both camps. We might get some news soon
 
Things more interesting in the other match where a Jap batter could get the first ever century. On 92 with 3.3 overs to go an 2 wikuts remaining.

Brother your posts have been on ages of other players, lack of ground facility, bad outfield, match should be elsewhere, Indian selectors got it wrong. I think most things you have whinged about.

Bangladesh has 4 players from last edition. Sheikh Parvez Jibon, Iqbal Hossain Emon, Rizan Hossan, Rafi Uzzaman Rafi. There is experience there. Indians have never played world cup before.

What i said about is fact. Are you saying grounds are good? lol What you say is a biased opinion. I am sure no other country men try to read into "cricinfo titles" as much as some of the people here. Because cricinfo articles doesn't change anything. Even if they write pro bangladesh suddenly they will be viewed by world differently? I focus on things that help teams actually on the field.

in DLS the RRR usually go up with more wickets in hand because the team can accelerate and play more freely. Its advantage BD, they can just play it like a T20 game now. Depends on how many good batters they have though.

I get the feeling the are a bit like Pakistan. Shortened game is a something that makes things more difficult rather than being beneficial.

Their style of play coupled with the difficulty of the surface means,It's certainly not advantage Bangladesh .

@jnaveen1980 keeps whining here. He calls almost every match meaningless, yet continues posting in those very match threads. He tells Bangladeshi fans to focus on senior team performances, while he himself is busy commenting on a Bangladesh vs India Under-19 match. Rondu of the highest order. :inti

The system is consistent but shortened match can benefit certain types of sides more than others in ODI cricket.

DLS once robbed England against West Indies. I believe it was in 2010 World T20.

I think they need to come up with a better system.

Indian kids did well here and the innings of Vaibhav was notable but the other kid kundu played a proper mature knock too. That gave them a score that made them always in the game.
 
These are all ienxperienced guys. More than the results i look for potentials. IN the bowling India lacks spark. This is an ordinary bowling unit.
 
Why are BD batters batting without helmets? Are they trying to be Viv Richards? :inti
