Rebuilding phase for Pakistan. The pitch has deteriorated in favour for spinners even more.
 
Right-left combination may help.

Ifti won't last long against spin, think his SR vs spin is less than 80 so he needs to come in as late as possible.

He got dropped against the likes of Warner and Smith in the warm-up before hitting them...I actually been watching Chacha from the beginning when he made his test debut at the Oval years ago (and got a pic with him)...he is not the finisher you think he is

There was stats of him against spin the other day on sky showing how bad he was vs spin and normally gets out to quicker compared to pace
 
Seriously, regardless of the pitch, pak batters have always struggled against Afghanistan spin

He's not a good player of spin. He struggles to pick them from the hand. Just because you've seen him hit a few Misbah-esque sixes, doesn't mean he's good against spin.

Afghanistan keep producing these spinners whilst Pakistan haven’t produced any real quality spinners / seam bowlers in a while. Sign of a long decline.

There's no excuses either - we've had a good sight of the AFG spinners having played 2 white ball series vs them this year.

Rizwan's dismissal was appalling. I'm all for deploying the sweep on a low bounce pitch but that was so far outside off. Plus it's not easy for new batsmen to settle on this wicket.
 
Noor vs saus is soo fun to watch. Guy is clueless but if we drop him than karachi nedia wil cry

Hate Iftikhar and I think he is wasting a spot but can't disagree here. He is probably the best player of spin in this team. However, he can't play fast bowling to save his life. I would trust a retired YK more than him.

I had difficult with finance subjects, this reminds me of a nightmare where in a semester with 6 courses, i would be taking 4 finance subjects and 1 accounting.

40 overs of spin, and if afg wants they can use rehmat shah to bowl some leggies

I honestly can't tell if you're being biased because he's a friend of your hero, Misbah, or if your reading of the game just isn't right.

You do come up with some comical takes like Misbah < Inzi in ODIs and "I would rather see a batsman score 300 off 800 balls than 350 off 400 balls".

This is why I say you're a good poster when you see cricket outside the lens of Misbah. But otherwise you think just like him. His cricketing IQ was substandard.
 
Why didn't Noor play from the beginning? He should've played against New Zealand.

Anything above 250 and Afghanistan will find it hard to chase. Pakistan still on good ground here, but Babar needs to play a captain's innigs.
 
A couple of boundaries or a few big hits the bowler will go off his line and length. Attack and put the pressure back on

Ifti's weakness is where he often esges one to the keeper when the pacer is bowling.

The guy prefers spin, stop making judgements on 3 world cup games lol. Maybe atleast watch all series along with psl and domestic before making such comments

No he doesn’t! You can’t compare PSL and domestic. He’s been clueless against any spinner on the international stage, name one he’s played well against and dominated? Doesn’t mean he’s hit one 6.
 
Every new batsman will struggle here against spinners, key is partnership- exactly what Kiwis did in last game here. So far PAK have wasted two 50+ partnerships, this is the last one - unless they take it to 40 overs, I doubt if PAK can bat out 50 overs.

Regarding the target, as I said AFG talent is praised highest in PP - last time on a similar wicket PAK struggled to 200+ …. with lots of criticism- them AFGs managed 58 …

The commis are not helping either - this 2023, but the wicket is like 1993 - you should play as per the wicket, not for the trend.

They aren't poor against spin they are mentally weak. They are all great until they play crunch games or when the pressure is on or if the pitch starts doing something and a couple of wickets fall. We have a history of succumbing to spin and not just to quality spin. Paul Strang, Paul Harris, Symcox, Marcus North of all people! The list is endless.

Major it's not just this World Cup where Ifti's struggled vs spin.

He was tied up against Wanindu Hasaranga and Adil Rashid in 2022 Asia Cup Final, T20 series vs ENG and T20 World Cup Final.

There was a stat during the warmups I think where Ifti's SR was over 100 vs pace but 79 vs spin.
