Jansen with his accuracy and bounce can somewhat be ok in Asia but untested.

On flat patta pitch in extreme humid conditions where bowlers are gasping for breath. Any little help for bowlers this guy gets found out. But yea flat patta king. Just like poms. Overrated bunch.
 
Sorry guys but just get zero enjoyment from watching batsmen smash it around the park as if they're facing a bowling machine on a flat concrete surface

Even Akhtar relied on reverse as much as pace.

These days top teams can even play 150 kph pace without fear.

What is important in India is line and length .

Pace is extreme risk and extreme reward here.

If you bowl off stump and hit the right length over and over again , you'll wreck batting lineups.

If you are off line or off length , you'll be taken apart worse than off spinners.

England bowling is always crap. No surprise. Even in 2019 they conceded a lot of 300s. They compensated by outbatting opposition. Today they can still do with Buttelr. But if Buttler and Bairstow choke they are toast. Not sure how Stokes will go here after injury return.

Flat pitch is also a standard pitch and somebody has to still score on it. Plus the rate at which he has scored will be the difference.

bowlers are not part of the equation in this tournament..

It's just about which batters can hit bigger and for longer
 
South Africa will be immense once Stubbs and Baby Devilliers become mainstays of the side
 
Pakistan cricket is 20 years behind. Specially the batters. All those rankings are far away from reality.

the game is balanced when an out of form batting side, or those that don't have the same hitters, remain competitive due to their bowlers.

This is not about Pakistan's batting or about Pakistan. It's about balance between bat and ball

Jansen is a genuine bowler. He can play purely as a bowler. His batting is a bonus unlike Iftikar/Shadab/Nawaz. one skill without other skill they are unselectable. Basically poor in both departments.

It’s about approach. Keep it simple

Pakistan doesn’t have the right approach. Right intent.

Is Jansen a more skilled batsman than Babar? Why can’t Babar do what Jansen is doing right now?

Australia is stupid to play both Smith and Labu. They should have green and ask him to go after the bowling instead of defending. He did play well as opener briefly.

They would've gone for 100 aswell in today's era with changed odi rules and no reverse swing ,No tampering with balls , two new balls flat pitches small boundaries and it's not like that Akhtar and waqar didn't go for hammering they received it aswell. I don't rate both of them they were overhyped pretty average bowler.
