Almost all teams have 4-5 key players and some mediocre players.

I don't think it is an issue with talent. Every country on Earth has talents. It is a cricket-loving country; population is 160+ millions. Also, the U-19 guys won the World Cup. So, young guys are talented enough.

I think mindset is a far bigger problem. Attitude needs to be better. Success shouldn't make them arrogant just like failure shouldn't bog them down.

I don't know about mindset, the current lot looks much worse than the the senior players. Every team do have top 4-5 players, but those include newer crickets too. The gulf between Bangladesh senior and junior player is enormous.

State of BD cricket is all over the place recent times and present. Tamim retirement saga, Mahmudullah being kept away by selectors which am sure got instruction from the Lankan coach who is nothing but a curse to BD cricket atm BD lost its ways how to bat in ODI’s even lost a freaking ODI series to Afghanistan. Odi always been BD best format. Yes they’ve improved in T20s but I care more about ODI’s that’s where the real proper cricket world cup is at.

Now I hear Mahmudullah will be brought back for New Zealand series along with Mossadekk, Soumya Sarkar. Mahmudullah is badly needed in the finishing spot for BD his experience is valuable and is a calming influence to others too. Riyad and Mossadekk offer bowling option so does Soumya who I pray does well as he can be batsmen who can bowl some medium gentle tidy seam up something BD need in ODI also giving the 6th or 7th bowling option.
