I know many would not agree with me but i just found him captaincy material. The way he carries in the interviews or the way he absorbs pressure like we saw his inning versus SA, Ban, Agf. There is something about him. How will he fare as a captain if given opportunity someday? But he definitely looks a man who can take pressure and deliver and not meek like others.

Afridi and Sarfaraz were also brash and all, but on the field, quite conservative.

Perhaps Imam as captain for test matches over time but only if he has 'Strategy' chops.

Definitely not for one days. You need someone like Morgan or Finch or McCullum if you do not have gifted talents like Kohli or Williamson. Has to have the game for the format. My vote for one dayers will be for Fakhar.

See that's wrong with everything that the PCB has done. There is nobody who is looking like a natural fit. Virtually any of the remaining 10 from the XI would like to think they have a shot at captaincy?

And when there is an official opportunity to groom someone this is what we do:
1. PSL - Make Hafeez, Sammy, Misbah, AB, Sami as captains
2. Zimbabwe tour - take full strength team, their wives and kids and make it a holiday

A lot of people have made up their mind regarding him and only a consistent performance for at least 2 years with some match-winning performances under his belt will overcome nepotism claims.

Making him captain after the world cup will be a big mistake. Pakistan will most likely still lose which will put extra pressure on his individual performance. The guy will be abused left and right.

Azhar Ali never cemented his place and was made Captain. Same with sarfraz, the guy wasn't even a regular and him over nasir jamshed was a forced change.

Next thing you know, he's vice captain and soon becomes captain.

Just try saud out, I'd rather have him then have rizwan be captain. Rizwan is gonna captain no different then babar in terms of nepotism. Although he's likely gonna be superior In bowler rotation and field placements.
