SKy premeditated hook didn't work. Not sure why he had to play that shot. That was a leg cutter. Slower one. He mistimed totally.

Isnt it same mark wood and jofra archer against whom king zimbabar can’t score even on patta Pakistani pitches while indian batter smashed them alot times

I think team cannot focus one guy when you bat like this. This is what missing in the ODI set up as well. It is always about Kohli, Rohit, Rahul who eat most number of balls.

Because babar struggles against raw pace. Indian batters don't. Indian batters struggle against line and length which archer hasn't been able to do post injury and wood is fast and that's it.

In @RizwanT20Champ @heddie19 Dreams Rizwan and babar duo would have scored against these archer and wood like 40(20) balls and 50 (15) balls while in reality they do score in t20 like 20(30) balls and 30 (40) balls. Saim ayub and fakhar is far better t20 batsman but these guys logic doomed in fanhood

@Golu-momin

For some reason I'm unable to reply to you, maybe a glitch on this website.

Anyway ignore those 2 posters. I ignore them 90% of the time and only sometimes apply. They have zero knowledge about cricket and very likely started watching cricket from 2019 onwards.

They think babar azam is = to don bradman because Ramiz raja said so.

Most of the T20 games will be played on these kind of true wickets. So this tuk tuk cricket in middle phase has no room. I am glad the TM has shied away from that.

Would anyone select the likes of Rohit , KL and Kohli over the likes of Abhishek and Samson in white ball cricket?

This is bazball on steroids. 119 sixes in 11 matches !!! That is insane.

After world T20 final (post retirement of Kohli, Jadeja, Rohit)

Really hope we see the last of Rohit and Virat in white ball this Champions Trophy

GG, minus them two, will create monsters out of our next gen batters. Atleast in LOIs

They shouldn't be playing CT at all. It is pathetic when Jaiswal is yet to make debut and Samson not playing despite his last innings was a 100 in SA against SA.

This is phainti.

Hopefully England will perform better in next game's . Maja ni aya 200+ target hona chahiye tha.

India defeated England by seven wickets in the first T20I at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, chasing down the target of 133 in just 12.5 overs by losing just three wickets

Abhishek Sharma was the top scorer for India, scoring 79 runs off 34 balls. Sanju Samson scored 26 while Tilak Verma was unbeaten on 19 when India crossed the finish line. India had won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Varun Chakravarthy led a splendid effort with the ball for the Men in Blue. Chakravarthy claimed 3/23, two of those wickets coming in the space of three balls, while Arshdeep Singh, Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel also claimed two wickets each. England’s batters had a horrid night, with only Jos Buttler scoring 68. Harry Brook (17 runs) and Jofra Archer (12) were the only other England batters to score in double figures. The Men in Blue sprung a surprise by not picking Mohammed Shami in the Playing XI for the game in Kolkata.

Not a surprise. I would be shocked if England manage to win even one game against india.

They are an overrated team and Brooks in whiteball atm hasn't been anything special.

India's t20 side is also very good. Easily their best format and their now the best t20 team in the world.

However just like bgt, India is in for a brutal reality check in ct 2025. 99% of Indian fans have zero clue about their own game and players because they all live in a small bubble not realising that their own aukaat is zero. No idea about how the world works, how the cricketing sport works, or how they themselves work lol.

Fastest 130+ run chase against England in T20Is:

12.5 overs - India, Kolkata, 2025

14.3 overs - Australia, Melbourne, 2018
14.4 overs - South Africa, Johannesburg, 2016
14.5 overs - Australia, Cape Town, 2007
14.5 overs - Australia, Melbourne, 2014

England's new era begins with heavy India defeat

England's new era in white-ball cricket under Brendon McCullum began with a crushing defeat against world champions India as familiar frailties against spin resurfaced in the first T20 in Kolkata.

After seamer Arshdeep Singh dismissed Phil Salt for a three-ball duck and Ben Duckett in his first two overs, the middle order fell in a sorry heap against India's spinners and England were bowled out for 132.

Captain Jos Buttler played a lone hand with 68 from 44 balls but Harry Brook was the next highest scorer with 17.

Brook was bowled in the eighth over by the superb Varun Chakravarthy, who then dismissed Liam Livingstone for a duck two balls later as England's scoring stalled and wickets tumbled.

Jacob Bethell struggled for seven from 14 balls, Jamie Overton managed only two at number seven and Gus Atkinson fell to England's old foe Axar Patel for a painful two from 12 balls.

Chakravarthy returned to dismiss Buttler in the 17th over - ending England's hope of a big finish as he claimed figures of 3-23.

Jofra Archer impressed with 2-21 in India's chase but the hosts still romped to a seven-wicket victory with 43 balls to spare - England's heaviest T20 defeat in terms of deliveries remaining.

Gus Atkinson conceded 23 in the second over and Abhishek Sharma crashed 79 from 34 balls with the pressure released.

The second T20 in the five-match series is on Saturday in Chennai at 13:30 GMT.

Once India gets rid of the seniors India will start shining in all formats. Two guys ROhit and Kohli completely screwed us over in back to back test series. Will do the same in CT which i don't care much for. I just want to see the last of them. India will have a far more versatile unit once they leave (Jadeja, Rahul, Rohit, Kohli).

It seems like Varun Chakravarthy needs a master reset. Only :Riz & :ba can do this. Fortunately for Varun though India doesnt play bi-laterial T20s against the arch rivals.

What a wasteful time we live in.

Even chahal is better than him in that department..
Chahal is terrible as well. I think Varun lacks that on field personality lol He always looks like a love failure guy with that droopy eyes and beard. Didn't show any energy. He was just another victim of India's batting failure. Bowlers always feel the heat ofr poor batsmen.
