India (150 & 487/6d) beat Australia (104 & 238) by 295 runs in the 1st Test of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25

Excellent captaincy by Bumrah (rotation of bowlers, which Rohit was failing at most times!)

Beautiful bowling from Siraj. Couldn’t believe Indian posters gave up on him so easily

Probably Rohit didn't use him effectively... Similar to Indian Posters he gave up on him without give him a returned long spell...

Labu played the worst knock of his career. Can’t just look to block everything on this pitch

This is beautiful captaincy by Bumrah, rotating the bowlers and sticking to 3 bowlers (main bowlers for this pitch) and keeping the heat on! Let's hope Rohit never comes back and sticks with his new babysitting affair...

This has been a spirited fight back led by our pacers. Very inspiring and fans should be happy if Australia is contained for minimum lead possible here. Let’s keep an eye on their tail. Bumrah needs to finish them off quickly.

Yes lovely captaincy so far . bowlers will get enough rest before 2nd test.

True. Can't stand Rohit these days with his 'hota hai' attitude.

Nopes! I don’t predict the future. For me, he needs to end up with at least 350 Test wickets with similar numbers to rate him as an ATG. Longevity matters a lot, or else bowlers with 200 Test wickets will end up as ATG’s provided they can achieve exorbitant numbers by then.
300 test wickets is a time tested marker too. no need to stretch esoecially in a world of t20s . t20s suck more life out of a bowler owing to multiple matches in a momth schedule

Rohit will only mess up the balance of this team.

During india batting no one said this but now you're saying, why?
Beacause its not common sight to see Aus 42/5 at home. Just stay humble man. India is on top, but I really don't like the arrogance in your posts.

Their star players are losing form, and the young ones aren't nearly as talented.
Since the end of the wtc final, the lower order has bailed Australia out on multiple occasions, australia should be very concerned about their batting going into the future.

I'm surprised at their bench talent. Hardly anyone averages 40 in FC.

Back in the day they had a pipeline of players all averaging 45+ waiting for a shot.

Read the full match thread so far specially when india was batting .how were some posters mocking Indian team'.

This is simply brilliant captaincy! I hope Bumrah continues test captaincy! He simply kept on the pressure relentlessly!

My point applies to the indian batting as well. From my experience, India always had top top test bats. Struggle to see any at moment

Smith is a washed up hasbeen like kohli. Labuscsghne has been found out in test cricket after his initial period
I am just saying you can't blame everything on T20. Certain guys get impacted by T20 like Jaiswal who used to show great temperament. But after he started playing T20 internationals look overly aggressive and cost his wicket.

The reason that there aren't too many high averaging FC batsmen in the last 4 years is the tough batting conditions created by the current kookaburra ball

Got nothing to do with T20 or anything else

Kohli is so childish and irritating. He is just there for dancing , score some runs dude.

Harshit Rana and Starc were bowling partners for KKR. Death over bowling. There was once Shreyas Iyer decided to bowl Rana 20th over instead of Starc.

Can they cross their lowest total??
