India is playing a terrible cricket. Especially fielding what 12 or 13 catches dropped so far in the Asia cup. Over-experimentation in the batting order, bowling rotation. Booms bowl 3 overs on the trot. They say this is to prevent injury from flaring up. Not sure what science is behind it. So far India got away with seamer light.

it will surely be an upset if pakistan manages to win it from here. India is a top team and knows how to win titles

India needs to play at 70% capacity and they will give this Pak side a tough time.

Reality.

Pakistan need to shed their mental barrier against this Indian side , Abhishek is due a failure by law of averages just cash on it. Pakistan hacks as Farhan Hassan etc need to fire actually to setup a good total , players who are in knick like Nawaz should play the middle overs to move score at 8-9 RPO.

Bowlers get your homework done and tgt the Indian batters limitations , fielding needs to be top notch , there's no Rocket science thsy we cannot win

We are already the people’s champions. Neutrals from around the world must be supporting Pak today. Let’s do it for them.

***its coming home***
Fans getting carried away once again.

Will be another comfortable India win, especially if they chase

Isn't it the same ground Pakistan beat India by 10 wickets! Pakistan should be positive... How is the due :D hope Pakistan wins the toss and puts India to bat and recreate the same magic!

It's a T20 match.

One innings is enough to usually sway the balance and decide games in this format.

Most Indian posters are so ignorant with the semantics of the shorter format.

If it was an ODI or Test, yes I would agree, it would make sense to have supercilious arrogance and confidence before and after the game. The longer the game goes, the difference between India and Pakistan will become apparent. At a level of T20, this can get hidden by a heroic blitz or a bad day at the office for a team.

For the Indian fans.

You laid the dice and you put your tongues out.

You better hope that Pakistan doesn't somehow end up as winners because of the format.

Because there won't be enough water in the Ganges to dry your tears and humiliation if Pakistan pulls this off.

And they can.

We have been through this before, and it was really fun afterwards. Unfortunately most of them run away and you are left with bullying one or two fans who somehow manage to stick around here.

The arrogance this time is much more than the CT final, even though the teams are slightly better matched this time and the format is much more fickle.

Don't put all Indian fans in one basket lol We know how single innings can take the game away which is what INdia needed right through the tournament. Just one Abhishek was enough to intimidate opposition. Nissanka almost matched Abhishek. Having said that from Pak perspective it is generally bowling blitz that has caused problem. Kohli saved India many times from that situation. We have no Kohli this time. Chasing 83 against Pakistan India was 8/3. Kohli made 49 and India won comfotably. Then MCG epic.

His bowling is average and is batting is average.
I very much doubt they will remove him. They also want him for anchoring just in case if there is a top order collapse given how poor Hasan in anchoring. Salman anchoring is poor even by test standards.

Yeah but you can't have two anchors in the same xi.

They can then send nawaz up the order
Among the regular nations in the year 2025 pakistan has the worst top 6 as acombination of Average & Strike rate. Nawaz is the only guy who strikes the bal down the order. If you send him up he could be gone too.

Saim is out of form
agha is out of form
if these two can manage to score today it could be good game

When was Saim in form in t20? His whole career is runnign on that one innings in SA. Pakistan has played the msot number of T20s by some distance in 2025. That is a substantially large sample to have numbers like this. When you prepare you should be prepared for the worst case scenario not best case scenario. This is not even wrost case scenario. This is the normal case scenario for pakistan these days. Top 6 don't fire at all. Even the guy who fires have 50% of dot balls and strike rate of 107.

Saim is playing based on talent he has shown in psl plus in odis he was consistent too after injury he lost confidence i guess otherwise he used to play well

Not the level of some youngsters play. His highest T20 ranking is 33 after 47 matches. It usually takes 10 matches to get to top of T20 ranking for noobs. It took 8 or9 matches for Dewald Brevis to get to top 10 ranking. It took 10 or 12 matches for Tilak varma to become world no.2 ranked T02 batsman.

70 30 in favour of india still iam mentally okay with pakistan losing dont want to give myself false hopes to be disappointed again
As a fan you should be looking at bigger picture even if you win which is world cup.Is this the right team that can challenge top 6 teams in the world cup where they will play full strength team.

i think for worldcup pak would make few changes
Farhan
saim
fakhar
hassan nawaz
Muhammad Haris
nawaz
rauf
shaheen
abrar

these are gonna remain in the team

I think babar might comeback but thats about it pak is going to stick with this
maybe
they even go with shadab

Shaheen Afridi vs India

Batting
49 runs at 49 average and 196 strike rate in 3 innings. 5 Sixes

Bowling
4 wickets in 5 matches. 39 average

Sahibzada Farhan vs Jasprit Bumrah

33 runs in 24 balls. 2 sixes and 4 fours. 0 dismissals
There are few guys who have good match ups agianst Bumrah

Dinesh karthik vs Bumrah 68 runs 37 balls 4 sixes 183.8 strike rate
Ruturaj Gaikwad vs Bumrah 29 runs 17 balls 170.6 strike rate

India has just 8 more matches before world cup. Hence some weird experimentation by Gambhir although some of them were stupid. They are trying to prepare a line up where anyone can bat anywhere. But that is practically not possible. Hope they realize that soon.

India had a dud middle order with Yuvi, Dhoni who were past it and Jadhav who wasn't convincing at the highest level.

The format may be fickle but the teams are less evenly matched now than CT17

Regardless of India's changes since winning the T20 WC, there's still a skills chasm between the teams. Need some luck, and a massive improvement on our unconvincing performances so far.

I can't remember our last decent T20 batting display. All in favour of attacking cricket but we need to be smarter in assessing conditions instead of blindly swinging from the hips. Our lower order has bailed us out recently on a few occasions.

Would like to see Hassan Nawaz return ahead of Hussain Talat who's never looked a T20 player. He hasn't even scored at a run a ball this tournament.

Bowling seems more settled. Getting Abhishek out early will be huge.

For a cricketing nation like Pakistan to only win the Asia Cup twice in our history is criminal. Even when we had good teams, this has proved a bogey tournament for some reason. IA we end 13 years of hurt today.

Shaheen , Md Nawaz(batting), Abrar are papering over massive cracks. Rizwan said win or learn. That is nonsense. You should learn even while winning. You should check the flaws even while you are winning. That is how you become a world class team.

Which world cup?

If Pakistan is suddenly 20/3 for something in walks Hasan against Kuldeep. It could be 20/4 in no time
But even if it's 20/4 what's the maximum they can score with Agha and Hussain at the creese.if it's dust bowl fair enough play hussain in the xi but however we know it's flat pitch.

Nawaz would be a positive pick, my main gripe is he should have been bought in a game earlier. He’s be going into this match very cold & on the back off single digit scores, I hope the team have been keeping an eye on both he and Talat to see who is most up for the match today, I’d pick the guy with the better body language.

Our batting is not strong enough.

If they put their best match together today, it’s very possible iA, we should in the last match against India that we are very capable of getting close to 200.

Then it’s down to whether the bowling holds up which is my main gripe, but I would feel the pacers especially will be up for a battle.

It would be good for our chances if Hardik doesn't play, he is our bogeyman, always performs against us either in bowling or batting.

Pakistan have almost never fielded first after winning the toss since Agha and Hesson have taken over. Let’s hope they see sense today.
