GUys like Saim should develop as a player in longer format before playing T20. Playing him in this hackathon set up will make him a hack as well. He has to learn to construct the innings multiple times. He has to develop muscle memory in longer formats. In T20 you play 20 balsl at the best. What the hell are you going to learn in this format. Nothing.

Babar is a stabilizer at one down. You don’t need to drop any of the names mentioned above to accommodate Babar. He can bat at 3. Even today you needed someone to bat deep with hitters (and we don’t have any of them). Fakhar was trying to do that but he is too scratchy these days. Rizwan is not ideal for T20s but there is 0 comparison with Haris whose batting is 0 so he becomes the default choice until you find someone more suited to take the gloves in T20s. Also today was another demonstration of how big runs aren’t made by intent alone but require skill and ability.
