You want the finisher to be Dhoni in prime from start, that is never happening. Pandya will improve give him time. What we need is a better middle order, get KL and maybe pandey instead of rahane and jadhav and we will have a good team.

So you don't want to drop Pandya and keep giving chances to him but want others like KL Rahul, Pant, Samson to get a place in the team. It seems to me Pandya is undroppable and untouchable. LOL. Any other team would have dropped him. He is an Indian version of Anwar Ali.

We need atleast 5 bowlers to bowl 50 , our 2011 team had enough all-rounders that it was not a need then. This has all primary batsman no part timers like uv or Raina then.
 
Lets see if Pandya uses his brain and makes most of the sluggish pitch.
Seemed to do ok in the first over.
 
Theres a gulf in class between this protea bowling side and the Indian bowling side. India have a great bowling side to choke opposition on these sort of pitches
 
This is what happens when chump and his lackey pick their favorites rather than actual good bowlers.

I never understand, how can they keep repeating the same mistake when any knowledgable fan knows who is not good enough and who is. And these guys who get paid for cricket, cant figure out that Rohit and Dhawan should be nowhere near the Test team, Rahane no where near the ODI team and players like Axar & Karthik nowhere near any Indian team.

They aren't the selectors they can't control that aspect, give the coaching job to dravid and we will see then. Sadly the chump had the only guy who could have stopped this nonsense sacked.

Still remember Ganguly taking the selectors and insisting that Bhajji be selected for 2001 Aus series. Then Sehwag, Yuvi, Zaheer, Nehra and Kaif. All players he made sure played in the team. 5 of them were responsible for the 2011 WC win and 03 WC Ru

Also remember kumble being picked for 1-1 series in Australia at his insistence, the selectors wanted him dropped.
 
If we somehow lose this, Indian team that stupid umpire have a lot to answer for.

Pandya, Bhuvi and Raina are the standout performers today. Thank God Raina is back in the team again. His contribution is immense.

Nothing wrong in calling a spade a spade. Kohli is tactically and selection wise not very smart.

His batting and captaincy need to be judges separately.
