What's new

India (175/6) defeat South Africa (74) by 101 runs in a one sided encounter to take 1-0 lead in 5-match T20I series

Wow these guys have completely imploded on a slow wicket.

Some of the SENA countries will struggle in this World Cup, as spin bowling attacks from all Asian teams are really good.

100 T20I wickets for Bumrah. Average of 18, economy of 6.3.

World Cup winner with Player of Series. 15 wickets at an average of 8 and economy of 4.

This guy!

SA has to bring in two more bowling all rounders. Rabada Jansen Bosch. You get two batsmen. Ngidi cannot play..

I am not watching. How bad was it?
Bad? No mate, bad is a marginal edge missed at slip.
This was plain daylight cheating dressed up as “technology” and “human error.”

On-field umpire says Not Out, then suddenly the third umpire, aided by conveniently delayed replays and sketchy angles, overturns it like he’s following a pre-written script. No urgency, no transparency, just confidence that fans will swallow whatever is shown on screen.

And that’s the real problem: when broadcasters control what you see, officials end up officiating the screen, not the game. One decision, momentum flips, match swings and later we’re told to “move on.”

So no, it wasn’t “how bad was it?”
It was how blatantly can you get away with it before people stop pretending this is fair cricket.

FAIR CRICKET FOR EVERYONE. Neutral broadcast or don’t pretend this is sport. :ninja: :broad

India won by 101 runs. Showing why they are undisputed champion of T20 cricket. :kp

Blatant cheating by the broadcaster was showing the foot from a 45 degree angle lol

India produced a brilliant all-round display in Cuttack, dismantling South Africa for just 74 in 12.3 overs to secure a commanding 101-run victory in the first T20I. The total was South Africa’s lowest ever in T20I cricket.

Hardik Pandya was the standout performer, smashing 59 off 28 deliveries to lift India to 175/6 in 20 overs before adding a wicket with the ball. The bowling unit fired collectively, with Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy and Axar Patel taking two wickets each.

Bumrah reached a major milestone, becoming the first Indian bowler to claim at least 100 international wickets across all three formats after completing his 100 T20I wickets.

With this dominant win, Suryakumar Yadav’s India now lead the five-match series 1–0.

Aakash chopra in commentary : bumrah ko chakka maarna aasan nhi h agar kuch log maar le toh documentary bhi bana lete h .

@Rana 😂😂😂 trolling level :klopp :kp

Why is Gill a necessity in all formats?

If he becomes a T20 player, he can’t become a truly great test player. He will do well in tests but won’t score tough runs in tough conditions there.

Why the hell didn't the umpires tell Brevis to wait if they were checking the no-ball?

This modern South African LO team is very inconsistent. Lost to Pakistan away and also got whitewashed by Pakistan at their home last year in ODIs.

Big win for India. :inti

Anyway, I still expect South Africa to do well in the World T20. Bilateral T20s don't count much. :inti

5 match T20 lol wth.. try out all the combinations
T20 series at this point makes sense. Definitely not ODI series. There is no tournament in the near vicinity. The only reason they probably want to host ODIs now is to give practice to Roko.

ODI WC is coming. If you dont want to host ODIs with one year before WC, might as well just axe the format. I always supported something like T30 format for one stop shop.

Hopefully South Africa will fight back a little more strongly because I don't like one-sided victories. :kp

Gambhir seems to be a good coach for T20s (after all he has great expertise in IPL)... Grooming Dube along with Pandya (instead of just having him in the squad and rotate with Pandya) is good thing... This will help having a strong team on all kind of pitches (including overseas). Both seamers and spinners will be needed in T20s and you never know who will come good at what point... It is important to have them all...
