World cup squad preparation should start two years ago. Wasim Jr, Akif, & maybe some rookie pacer like Subhan should be groomed for two years before they play the next world cup.

let me be clear, Pakistan isn't a bad team per say but they are temu India. For every player that we have, that player is an inferior version of the Indian player. I mean just look at the combination that we are using which is heavy on all-rounders Nawaz, Shadab, Saim, & Fahim. They aren't like bad players but they are inferior to Dube, Hardik, Axar, & Abhishek.

I think the skill gap isn't as big as we tend to think. Its the mental strength, preparation and processes that are lacking in our case. For instance which team would play Shaheen in his current form over Salman who has been very very good recently. Shaheen is not only not getting wickets byt also bowling pies. 15-0 vs 1-5 in the first over makes a huge difference. But in our setup name>form. These are the things that are letting us down. The margins by which we have lost in recent times have been quite small and a few different decisions and mental strength could have tipped those games in our favor.
