True. When all the focus is on one guy someone else steps up. Like in 2011 final Sehwag/Tendulkar had all the attention then Gambhir came out of syllabus . Same in 2007 final where focus was on Yuvraj singh he got out for duck Gambhir again made it count. Sometimes it helps people. All the focus was on Abhishek that kinda worked in favor of Samson. So it is always good to have match winners in the side. If you have 7 match winners you just need 1 to click.

To add, you still need skills to even attack an average attack when chasing in a do or die match. Yesterday, Pakistan lost 36/8 against a very ordinary SL attack when everything was going for them.

Also, Samson didn’t hack at all during his innings today - those were all proper cricketing shots. He played the shots all over the ground and also ran his singles. He is a classic late player of the ball.

I also think India may decline in T20 very soon. Abhishek is already showing signs of decline. Veterans like Bumrah, Kuldeep etc. are approaching retirements.

In this WC, South Africa beat the living daylight out of them. India are becoming sitting ducks against good teams.

I fully expect India to lose in semi-final or final. No trophy for India (most likely).

Feel we are not quite there. For starters we are dropping too many catches, fumbling too many - we gave at least 25 extra vs WI.
Need to remedy this.....like YESTERDAY!

Mumbai will be a red soil true bounce wicket, ball will come on and i expect high scoring. At Eden, WI ran a lot of two's which shows either our fielders were not positioned properly or were not anticipating/attacking quickly enough. cannot afford to do this vs Eng.

Don't thing the Dew would come in, generally does not on coastal cities.

What we did well was kept up the intensity the whole match, never flagged or took a backward step. To hunt down 190+ in a quarter finals is a significant achievement. In the whole tournament every one has stood up at different times. We now need at least 4 guys to fire and the others to play to form

I'd keep the same team, win toss bat first - what say?
