Rashid Khan was thrashed by Morgan and he was intimated big time. India has tried to restore his confidence. If India is not trying to launch even in last 5 overs then what I have sensed is not conspiracy theory.

International cricket is all together a different ball to game with different kind of pressure. While these arent even the best international bowlers he is facing, other teams have atleast 3-4 quality bowlers which arent that easy to get away unlike league cricket.

Akash Chopra OTT commentary makes hindi commentary pretty boring. Irfan Pathan is the only good commentator there. Mohammed Kaif sounds like a pure UP wala with a khaini in the back of his mouth. :inti
 
This is really really good death bowling. Still going for an Indian win because its gonna be a tough chase. india will hit hard.But we shouldn't take anything away from one of the better bowling displays in this WC. Even better than some top teams

If England played on thus pitch with their style they will be bowled out for 150. Also calling your own conspiracy theory not a conspiracy theory isn't really a fact

Ajay Jadeja can speak fluent Hindi/Urdu they should add him in the panel if he is not already there.
 
cha-ku will be a big factor....good that india had this nightmare against aft....hopefully they'll learn from this and smoke the oppo...

People get agitated here if you dont talk about Pandya as the next legend. When did I say Afghan bowlers are better the Cummins and Starc?

There is a reason Hardik has been averaging 30 or under 30 most of his career till now, he isn’t consistent enough against decent attacks. Yes he can be really good on his day but those days are not very common and that is why he has 4 50s in 48 matches. Sure he can improve in future but at the moment I dont find him to be as good as the hype here. Though thats just my opinion.
 
Pitch has spin, stickiness but never a below 230 wicket. Defo 260! India are 20-30 short. But.. there’s a big but. CAN the Afghanistan batting chase this in a big ground and it has something for spinners?

This is a Mahmud of Ghazni-esque performance by Afghanistan. Made the Indian batsmen look so weak and brittle.

He would walk into Pakistan's team, with a batting at 4 or 5 and 5th/6th bowling option.
 
Jadhav has played one of the worst innings I have ever seen, can't believe he came out ahead of pandya. He should be no where near this Indian team
 
Then accept that India has got a very mediocre middle and lower order and Indians are claiming to be world champs in advance. England and Australia have won series on such slow pitches in UAE. Indians also claim that they are very good at tackling every sort of spin attack and here they have showcased how clueless they were actually.

This is the best Indian odi team ever and easily the best team in this World Cup on paper. One bad day won’t change that

Not sure how successful he would be at no 4 or 5 with the kind of ordinary defence he has against pacers. But anyways my point is regarding the hype of Pandya, no doubt he is pretty decent cricketer and an amazing athlete but he isnt what some people make him out to be at the monent.

Even Dhoni smoked them for fun. Infact Dhoni didn't even face their spinners which Pandya did. Fact is Pandya played that inning when team was in good position. Had we sent Pandya today above Dhoni he would have gifted his wicket away while playing a slog. :inti
 
A little bit of help on the track, modern batting is showing their vulnerability - PAK against WIN, SRL against AFGs, Poms yesterday, IND today. Constantly playing on roads have taken fun out of the game, at least we are watching some balanced game in WC. The game is most beautiful when the per range is between 225-275.

Why don't you wait for India to bowl? Aussies and England will get pummelled on this pitch.
 
I think if we lose this one IND think tank will sit down and have a relook at their middle order. So a blessing in disguise. Just hope that Afg do not chase this down in 40 overs. Just need to see off Kulcha and they should chase this down.

Dude...no indian claimed to be world champs or whatever....and as far as india being good players of spin etc...thats a myth...super hype...we've crumbled to moeen, adil rashid etc......i feel india play pace much better than spin nowadays....at least better than other asian teams...

I think it's good enough target considering Afgan batting and the pitch. But pathetic innings from the 'legend' MSD and KL. Especially Dhoni, so painful to watch his trademark pokes straight to in-fielders.

That’s why that Williamson knock was the best of this World Cup so far. He is the best ODI batsman in helpful tracks followed by Kohli then Smith

For those criticizing Dhoni, please be notified that he plays as reserve captain in team. Unlike Kohli, Dhoni can bundle this Afghanistan side within 150 with sharp tactics and game awareness.
 
Dhoni needs to be dropped mid World Cup. I’m afraid (or hopeful rather) that he will cost India a knockout game at this World Cup. Just bring in Pant unless Dhonis on field calling is helping the team a lot then play him as a special ‘captain’. India of all teams can afford that

That’s what I was thinking. It’s the only reason I can think of for him still being in this odi side. He calls the shots

I think they are somewhat confused creatures! They are supposed to have tight defense, actually be very good for test matches! But the advent of T20 and today's flatness of ODI cricket has converted them to neither there nor here guys! They have lost their defense and so they cannot negotiate good balls in ODIs, as bowlers have chance to come back in ODIs! In T20s the bowlers will be on pressure so they won't be counter-attacking the batsman when he starts attacking, so that's why these guys go on attacking in T20s and come out uninjured most times! I think the issue with them (at least in Rahul) is the insecurity because if he was opener for all formats, he would have been fine (a superior version of Gambhir) The shuffle in batting order is also affecting very much!

Even india win today, think tanks still need to fix middle order. Pitch was slow and gripping the ball but india should get 275.280.

He isn't quick enough to open with rohit and rohit>>>>>>>>rahul so can't replace him.
 
Would be hilarious if India loses this.... seems like a resurgence of the minnows. Even Windies are tying knots round NZ as we speak :))

No its not the best team without dhawan. Plus middle order of jhadav, really?? The guy can barely hold bat. Dhoni ll deliver 5-10 games. Fact is pak were very poor and had 0 game plan.

Seeing of them 2 is almost impossible. Afg batting is mediocre. India should win by at least 50 runs.

Yes we were terrible but with Dhawan as opener and Rahul in the middle order this is the best Indian ODI team I’ve seen. Even better than 2011. I don’t think losing today will change that (even though they won’t lose. Hopefully they do though.)

India won the bloody Asia cup without Kohli in UAE thrashing everyone else. So I wouldnt worry too much.
