Rizwan may as well be blind and holding the bat upside down and this guy will still invent praises for Rizwan "The direction of wind makes it impossible to hold the bat correctly and Rizwan is a genius for his new approach"
 
By the way everybody is taking the mick out of rizzys batting sauds not far either both and imams is thr worst i have seen

This team is embarrassing, with Fakhar out, there's not one single batsman you can count on take the fight to the opposition. Its go into your shell and play like timid kittens.
 
A lot of people here thinking it's a difficult pitch and Rizwan approach is right be will made to eat their words big time.

Yes it is true that this partnership is overly slow

But fact also is Pak is not so far behind in game. India is likely to have a fielder penalty in last 2-3 overs with their over rate.

They are still on course with a big finish (and without Bumrah) to setup 260 odd which is a competitive score on this ground

naa. India was trying to use up Hardik Pandya because this a correct strategy. If you have part timers in your line up and main bowlers, you dont have to bowl all 30 overs from your main bowlers. You need to give them some leeway.

That leeway is achieved by bringing in your part timers, bowl their full qoutas will they dont get attacked.

So if Pakistan decides to attack lets say Harshit Rana and Rana goes for 8 an over, then india will have an option to take him out of the attack completely.

This is where Pakistan messes up alot. So if we are playing 4 main bowlers, we will make sure the main bowler gets his full overs no matter how bad he is bowling. So if in the 47th over Haris Rauf got attacked, he will still bowl the 49th over aswell as we have no other options left and ended up cornering ourselves. This happened in every ICC tournament match we have played since 2021.

India learned this thing from Dhoni. Dhoni knew how to use his part timers like this
 
They keep saying Saud Shakeel plays spin well. I understand that. But playing spin well in ODI is different from playing spin well in Tests.
 
Is Saud a poor runner? Rizwan doesn't seem confident to convert singles to doubles with him or even run singles

Saud has been a complete disappointment so far. Babar and Rizwan are known failure commodities. We had some hope on Saud. Guess hes playing to save his place.
 
94 runs at almost the half way stage. You reckon can score 200’runs in the next 26 overs - no!
 
Im really proud of Saud Shakeel . I had totally forgot he was still batting, so happy to see him get 30 runs finally in Odi cricket. Great innings. :dav
 
What a performance by Pakistani batters so far, on this difficult pitch they are executing their plan perfectly.
Match is 90% in favour of Pakistan, India will have to pull off a miracle to win from here
 
Pakistan's batting approach is still stuck in those 1980s/1990s Sharjah tournament days.
