India (247) register comprehensive 88-run win over Pakistan (159) in Match 6 of the ICC Women's ODI World Cup

They dont need your support or backing …. Stick to bulldozing and the rest of it…
Didn't even a famous cricketer like Afridi ban his daughters from playing sports? I think they (the women) need all the support they can get from outside country as they are sure not getting from inside.

There was no chance that this team was gonna win anything... No rivalry here.. Surya must have been talking about this rivalry, which I agree with.

I feel sorry for the modern generation.

Must have been good in the 90s for them to win fixed Sharjah cups and kiptley and coco cola Pepsi cups that were also phiixxxed. But then I checked the records and even back then they hardly won any important games in Asia cup icc events vs weak India.

Sorry I actually don’t feel sorry for them but I just wanted to mention it for the sake of it.

Good luck though in the future. Pakistan if they focus on developing first class cricket then they can be a good team. If they keep playing t20 then it’s hard to improve.
Pakistan's average age is 22. The vast majority of Pakistanis never saw the 90s.

A sort of propaganda has been spread where apparently Pak "dominated" India in the 90s but the W/L ratio was more like 1.555 which is basically winning 3 out of 5.

India in the last 10 years has been 15-3 aka W/L ratio of 5 which is winning 5 out of 6.

Instead of celebrating fake superstars of Pakistan cricket

They should be embracing guys like the javelin thrower. He is a beast. Olympic champion.

Promote him and focus on those sort of strength/ power sports

And their hockey team used to be a beast. In 80s to 90s. Pakistan government should increase funding for hockey where they dominated and still hold the record for most number of World Cup wins.

And also there is a couple of dudes doing well in boxing.

Cricket has received too much funding and backing yet they have nothing to show for.

Yes from January 1, 1990 to 31 December, 1999 the record stands at Pakistan 28, India 19?

How come Pakistan dominated? India lost many close games during this period, you are right about fake propaganda by likes of Shoaib Akhtar & other Pakistani players from that era.

Just old people nostalgia. Humare zamane mein lol.

Pak were better but not so much better and they still lost the WC games including the 96 QF.

The controversial run-out of Pakistan batter Muneeba Ali against India during the Women's World Cup 2025 match, and the subsequent response from the Pakistan camp:

* The Incident: Pakistan opener Muneeba Ali was controversially run out after she wandered out of her crease and the stumps were hit by a throw from India's Deepti Sharma. The TV umpire gave the verdict in India's favor.

* Pakistan's Official Response: Pakistan pacer Diana Baig, speaking at the post-match press conference, downplayed the controversy. She stated, "Muneeba's run-out issue has already been settled, I believe. I don't want to talk much about it now. Whatever happened and whatever the situation was, I think it has been resolved."

* Controversy and Rule Interpretation: Former Australian cricketer Mel Jones suggested on air that Muneeba should not have been given out based on MCC Law 30.1.2, which pertains to a batter losing contact with the ground while running or diving. However, Jones concluded that Muneeba was given out because "she wasn't running, she wasn't diving," which made the exception in the law not applicable.

Hopefully not

Women have historically suffered the most when it comes to war.

Women have always been the peacekeepers of society too.

The BCCI should not instruct their women, and nor should the PCB instruct their women to mix hatred and politics into sport. Uphold moral decency.

Well said.

She was clearly out, some part of your bat or body should be behind batsman. You must have noticed many batsmen taking umpires or opposite team's captain/wk permission before leaving the crease

The rule has been changed, so if your bat bounces after your reached past the crease, it's not out.

This is the actual law - The playing condition states: "However, a batter shall not be considered to be out of her ground if, in running or diving towards her ground and beyond, and having grounded some part of her person or bat beyond the popping crease, there is subsequent loss of contact between the ground and any part of her person or bat, or between the bat and person."

However, the interpretation is, this is only true when you are going for a run or coming back to avoid stumping.

From cricinfo - "ICC Playing Condition 30.1.2 does allow for a batter to lose contact with the ground beyond the crease and not be given out, but that exception is only granted to a batter who is "running or diving towards her ground". Muneeba was merely stepping back into the crease, and there was no momentum that would have necessitated her bat leaving the crease."

MCC Statement on Muneeba Ali’s Run-Out:

  • Ball not dead: “Just because there was a vociferous appeal for LBW, the ball had clearly not become dead. The appeal had been answered not out; the ball was not finally settled in the hands of the wicket-keeper, and Deepti’s act alone is a demonstration that not all the players considered it dead. The ball remains in play.”
  • Bouncing bat law not applicable: “Muneeba was not moving towards her ground. She had taken guard from beyond the popping crease, and at no time did her feet move back into her ground. This Law, which was introduced in 2010 and is sometimes referred to as the ‘bouncing bat Law’, is to protect a batter who inadvertently loses contact with the ground as they move towards the stumps, either with their bat bouncing up or just with both their feet being airborne through the natural process of running.”

“It does not protect a batter who is turning for another run, overbalancing, or who – as in Muneeba’s case – simply lifts their bat into the air. The third umpire was entirely correct to give this out.”
