[MENTION=53290]Markhor[/MENTION] are you watching? It seems as though Kesrick Williams has different bowling action for T20i's and ODI's. In T20i's and other Twenty20 leagues his arm speed is slower and gives a lot of variation but now he's bowling more like an out&out fast bowler - getting good pace too.
 
Yuvraj goes to Bishoo.

Out the same way as Shadab did to him.

Yuvraj has a problem facing leg spinners who bowl straight.
 
What will it take Rishab Pant to get a chance? He is the kind of player India needs at the top.

MSD and Yuvi will be 38 in 2019. Too old and will lose their reflexes even more.
 
MSD has an excuse now to play at snails pace.

He scored a 100 against England in the ODI series.

Selectors some how see him as a long term prospect :facepalm:

With KL Rahul and Pandey injured, Yuvraj's spot is not in danger.

Everyone can see that MSD has lost it with the bat except selectors. Even Yuvraj has lost it. He still has his big shots. But a lot of issues have crept into his batting. He is a walking wicket against wicket to wicket bowlers. Still cannot play short ball well and his fielding is pathetic.

IND's No. 4 & 5 are in horrible touch - UV was out twice today (not given both times by Dharma :()

It's time to drop UV and put one of Rohit/Rahne at 4. MS is serving as a WK as well & he has several contractual obligations for BCCI to drop him prematurely before 2019 WC :(
 
If Deverdra Bishu has 7-0-17-1 figures against IND at Sir Viv stadium, then things are really alarming.

Indian batting without Dhawan,Kohli firing looks really week.
 
MS covered significantly, but he struggled his way to this point; need to finish better now.
 
What is the point of these meaningless ODIs against WI if you don't give the chance to youngsters. What is the point of keep playing Rahane, Yuvraj, Dhoni, Ashwin etc. I don't understand the love for Jadhav either.

Pant still carrying water bottles. Couple of fast bowlers could have tested like Shardul Thakur, Nathu Singh. Indian selectors now a days are doing mind boggling job.
 
Make no mistake. India will win this easily. But on a day when Zimbabwe scored 322/4 in 47 odd overs this is substandard
 
Horrible batting - IND might get away with because of opposition being WI, but 251/4 is a selfish score, which didn't allow best hitter even a chance to bat. And, things look even worse when 100/1 was possible in last 10, after 150/3 in first 40............
 
It might sound weird but I want India not only to lose this but get humiliated. That might help the captain and selectors getting some sense.

Can't remove Kohli - it's too risky now. Only feasible option doesn't look that bright either - bring back MS for 2 years.

I was impressed with Rahane's Test captaincy, but if he is made Captain, it might end in tears (because still not convinced him as ODI player to bat in top 3). May be IND should finalize Coaching staff first, then have a re-look at captaincy. Rahne/Shastri might work, but fun 'll be V vs V (Viru/Virat):19:
 
Pathetic and pointless ODI tour from Indian point of view.

Going in with the same old squad. No new faces tested.
 
Only 4 wickets lost but 250 scored.

Batsmen batting selfishly for personal goals.

MSD wanted to score a 50 and prove to everyone that he is still the best keeper batsman in the country. In the process India only scores 250.
 
Pandya has surely upped his pace. Bowling in high 130's and occasional mid 140's. Great addition to the ODI lineup. Currently my fav player along with Pant and Kuldeep.
 
There was a reason why ICC awarded Test Status to Ireland and Afghanistan. Deep down they know it that Westindian cricket will probably cease cometh 2023 cricket world cup. Zimbabwe is another version of West indies, therefore 2 suitable replacements were needed. We can expect Ireland and Afghanistan to be fairly competitive by 2023.
 
Interesting Hawkeye that one, the slow motion showed the ball turned quite a bit but on Hawkeye the point of impact and trajectory suggested it went straight on?
 
India can win all their matches till next ICC Cup but their humiliation of 158 all out against Pakistan will never be forgotten.

If Pak can come back from their humiliation in the group stages and win the CT, then why can't India?

These matches against WI are boring and pointless.

Couldn't handle the bouncers today. This guy is a bunny against pace if the conditions are bowling-friendly or the bowling is any good.
 
This is the same team that chased 300 versus the world class Pakistani bowling attack. Makes you think how world class they actually are.

The Indian team are a bunch of chokers, you can defeat them in any tournament if it's a knock out recently. Especially under the incompetent Kohli. You just have to be there to win. The match was done when Pakistan got to 300 anyway.

But conceding 300 against this Windies side and losing? That's very embarrassing for a "World class" bowling side.

If Pak cannot keep up their winning streak or at least win majority of the games, this CT success will look more like a blip from the normal mediocrity.
 
India have learnt nothing from this tour other than Kuldeep is a decent opition for LO. Selecting Yuvi,MSD, and Ashwin was a mistake. Should have tried some fresh faces.

Pakistan still beats you hands down 73-52 in one dayers and 12-09 in Tests. Pakistan had won more Test and One day matches in your own backyard.

Yes always reminds me of legend younis khan who was even better than kohli in these conditions.

India beat pak in 1985 in benson and hedges cup which was equivalent to ct final and all other important matches(icc tournaments) but of course they will not
matter since pak could not win in them.
And if the wc matches are useless then pak winning more in bilaterals is of no meaning either

Sheeps into lions? We've always been tigers, mate. We've mauled your lot 70+ times, feasted on your bones over the course of 12 test matches and have produced beasts like Imran, Wasim, Waqar, Akhtar and Amir; not kittens like Kapil and Jaheer.

It's the other way around. A few years where India was doing better than Pakistan has given birth to delusions galore. You need to go back and watch the Aaney Do series again.

I agree with your first paragraph. India are a minnow team and Pakistan fans need to gloat more over bowling England out for under 250 than bowling India out for below 160.

Will pakistan ever br able to become a average team than from minnows which their ranking most of the time suggests and beat india in world cup match? Its world cup only which matters. India won champions trophy last time with winning all matches without any luck or fluke like drs. Still no won considers champions trophy win that much.There is a reason icc going to scrap this tournament.
World cup 1996, world cup 2003 best for me then world cup 2011 ..These matches wud be best till this world exists. World cup will be never scrapped.

Who counts margin man? we are used to beat you in all icc tournament matches like and before final we beat in league match also... You are celebrating eid first time by winning but we are used to winning and celebrating diwali after any world cup match.
Icc is going to scrap champions trophy anyhow because its not worth it .
India has won all world cups for us though because for our both countries there is saying that if we beat india or vice versa our world cup is over and avaam also is happy.

But my question is will pakistan be able to become a even average team from minnows and beat india actually in world cup? Just beat even in league because in final of 2007 world cup and 2011 semi final like these . we dnt expect pakistan to beat but atleast one win we should expect or not?

Nothing beats India's 'performance' against Pakistan in the biggest Indo-Pak match of all time. Now that was comedic and hopefully, it will be long preserved in the Indian psyche.

Biggest match for what terms ? Audience wise you mean? or status wise ?? because even world cup league match has more importance than this champions trophy match. I am not even mentioning 2011 world cup mohali semjfinale where all politicians even visited of both countries or T20 WORLD cup finale or 2003 world cup after kargil or 1996 or many many other world cup matches.
Icc champions trophy who remembers ? india won 2 times . But sad part is no one take it serious plus icc that's the reason going to scrap it.

Wouldn't be surprised if they sent a team of impersonators to play with the real Kohli, Dhoni etc sitting at home eating palak paneer and watching Kuch Kuch hota hai, and no one would know.
 
Well here we go again, that meaninglesd 1985 tournament which you have mentioned had only 7 teams and obviously there was no South Africa at that time. Pakistan beat the hell out of you in 1986/1994 Australsia cup finals ( that had 6 teams) and Nehru cup in your own backyard, that also had 6-7 teams. Yes bilateral series have been meaningless, what we do is we beat u in big finals. I can understand your sentiments, 2002 icc champions trophy was shared, you did not win it hands down.

Status-wise, impact-wise, importance-wise and every other wise out there. This was the biggest Indo-Pak contest of all time, the Mohali semi-final is a close second.

India haven't really won a 50 overs CT final ever. One was a washed out game where India did not beat the opposition and the other was a T20 match.
