Pandya is such a useless bowler. Just because someone can roll his arm over shouldn't be good enough reason to call him an all-rounder. Umar Amin in those 2 overs looked more threatening than Pandya has in his entire career as a bowler.
 
Flat batting deck, exceptional bowling by the ndians, Drop catch of FAF meant SA got 25 extra runs, still a far below par score on this pitch, however if Kohli don't get a big 100, we wil lose by 80+ as none can bat
 
Cannot guarantee a win if the top order fails... So weak is the middle order....

Lol. Indian batting is fine in ODIs. Shouldn't be a problem for Sharma, Dhawan, etc either. Even if Kohli does have an off day.

I will play 3 pacers Bhuvi Bumrah & Shami. Going in with just 2 geniune pacers will trouble us alot and bhuvi is alot pitch dependent bowler so we are left with only bumrah (and he can have bad days too).

This guy deserves a higher average than that. Most of the time he picks up 1-2 cheap wickets at the end when they try slog him.

Morkel bowling short or wide crap. To get Rohit early you should bowl on his pads.
 
For all the hype that India's batting get, they have one of the worst run rate amongst all test playing nations in the first 10 overs since the 2015 WC.
 
this should be somewhat easy win for India. This pitch doesn't have much for the fast bowlers. South Africa only has one good spinner. Indian batsmen are much better equipped to deal with Tahir than the South African batsmen were able to handle Indian wrist spinners.

The difference between Azhar Ali doing this and Rohit Sharma is that Rohit will catch up (and overtake at super-sonic speed). Azhar can't.
 
Playing the square cut has always been a weakness of Kohli's because he's so eager to come on to the front foot. Hence why the lifting delivery in the 5th stump channel is always a challenge for him especially in the shorter formats because you have to play shots.

What is Rahane doing in the ODI side. Kohlis selection has been really bad this series.
 
While I believe Rahane is a pretty good player but to be fair in the current era of ODI cricket he isnt the most suited player for the format.
 
SA should use this period to bowl 4-5 quiet overs and drive up the RRR.
 
If King Kohli calls it you have to run even if you are well set on 99.

If Rahane was not selected, fans will complain that Kohli is stupid to drop the best player of pace in SA conditions.

There is no right or wrong. Its not just Rahane, what about Jadhav? He is one useless hack. Way too many passengers in the ODI team.

SA will win. As per several PPers, Kohli is not a good chaser, but the only thing is they will not say it while he is at the crease 😜😜😜

I have a suspicion India might be winning. BTW, how is the bestest talent ever Amir doing average wise in tests? Must be setting the field on fire

Rahane does very well in all format on such wickets. He is very reliable. Just struggles on slow and spinning wickets

Kumar isn’t even established in the test side :)). He’s only brought in when the conditions suit him.

Let him toil away on the unsupportive subcontinental wickets and let us see what happens to his “ATG” average.

Amir did not set the world on fire in NZ and Eng Tests when he played after the ban.

This excuse of Amir toils away in UAE is getting old. No question Amir is a very good bowler at times. But he is no where near the hype that some of his fans create.
Hasan Ali has over taken Amir as the best Pak bowler. Hype should be around Hasan. Not Amir.

I’m not defending Amir. He’s been too conservative and developed bad habits ever since he came back and unfortunately no one has been able to sort out him out.

My point is that Bhuvi is extremely dependent upon conditions.

Virat is calculating his chase so well and Rahane complimenting him . Too bad no one is discussing much about this in PP

Check his IPL stats in the last 2 seasons on the flattest pitches ever. Very very economical.

BK is not a wicket taking option in ODI's. His job is to get 1 or 2 top order wickets with the new ball. If he cannot get a wicket, then his job is to keep them calm.
BK bowled pretty well the first 4 overs. Then in his 5th over, he went for 12 runs. When he came back to bowl at the death, he went for a few runs. Not his best game.

I am pretty sure BK will at least 1 ODI for India in this series with his bowling. He will also contribute with the bat when he is asked to do. He is doing pretty well for India in the last 2 years.

I agree that when the conditions suit him, he is absolutely lethal with the ball. Nobody can swing the ball like him both ways on a green pitch. He gets banana swing which is rare to see these days.

He is not poor. His stats in ODI's were ruined from 2014-2016 when his pace dropped and even lost his swing. Now he is back. Since his comeback he has done a very good job.
 
So many quick singles and quick doubles by these two batsman . So much I went to win .:kohli
 
This is a flat pitch with some bounce. 300 is a minimum on this pitch. SA batted poorly overall.
 
SA basically missed someone of AB's skill here. Faf batted exceptionally but still couldn't make up for it. This is India win from here.

Average of 35 which would be worse if not for some slog over wickets.Hardly picks up wickets upfront.Not sure hows that very good

Shami is easily better and should be playing
 
Boring. Too easy for Kohli. SA need to get him so that Dhoni can take the RRR to 13 in the next 10 overs-
 
Every team needs good wristspinners now. Can't bowl defensively with 4 fielders outside for 30 overs. SA needs consider "resting" Tahir for this series.
