India (81/3) secured a comfortable 7-wicket victory against Sri Lanka (161/9) by the DLS method, winning the series 2-0 with one match to go

Hardik's a weird guy. So emotional. Lot of talent but needs kid gloves and careful management.

India need 6 runs in 12 balls.

Meh!

One sided again.... lol.... exactly as i predicted :yawn

81 in 6.3 overs all done. Hardik played with absolutely no interest. He may end up winning the man of the match lol

Fragile injury body. He will bowl intense in ICC event.

Can't afford injury.
A reason why he should have been rested from this tour. This is like 7th ranked side. Why do you need him? Could have continued playing Dube.

India Men win the series but the women team lost the Asia Cup final.

Wake up call for India girls before the World Cup.

Harman isn't doing anything, no runs no wickets only attitude. Street level fielding didn't help either.

Agreed silly decision. Gambhir laying down his rules I suppose and you've got to allow him that but pointless really especially after you've passed him over for captain.

Forcing Rohit to play the ODIs is a similar decision.

Sri Lankan bowlers are exposed by playing the IPL.

Plus India are World Champions & the #1 team for a quite a long time.

So no celebrations.

They were expected to do better on the back of just concluded LPL. Their batting is okayish in patches. Especially top order. But bowling bar Pathirana looked toothless.

India SL record is 21:9.

Absolute dominance.

PAK and SL should be more competitive.
Srilankans were usually street smart on the field a reason why they reached so many ICC tournament finals. Current batch lacks cricketing smarts. Given their talent they should not be playing qualifiers to play ICC tournament.

Injuries to Chameera & Mumbai Indians Nuwan Thushara didn't help either.

Hardik, Jaiswal & Bishnoi won't play the next match.

Dube, Washington & Khaleel will get their opportunity now that the series has been won.

Yashasvi Jaiswal and skipper Suryakumar Yadav showcased their full range of strokes as India took an unassailable 2-0 lead, winning the rain-affected second T20I by seven wickets with nine balls to spare in Pallekele on Sunday.

Head coach Gautam Gambhir and new captain Suryakumar Yadav could not have asked for a better start to their new roles, as the Indian team played like true T20 World Champions, outplaying Sri Lanka in every department.

Despite Shubman Gill's absence due to a neck spasm and another failure from the ever-hyped Sanju Samson (0), Jaiswal (30 off 15 balls) and Suryakumar (26 off 12 balls) made the chase of 78 in 8 overs look effortless. Their efforts followed another fine performance by the bowlers, who restricted Sri Lanka to 161 for 9.

Maheesh Theekshana initially posed a threat by dismissing Samson with a carrom ball and challenging Suryakumar with a doosra. However, the Mumbai duo responded by employing both conventional and reverse sweep shots. This strategy prevented Theekshana and Wanindu Hasaranga’s deliveries from deviating and causing confusion.

The Indian batters effectively used their reach to counter the spin, adding 39 runs in 3.1 overs. By the time Suryakumar and Jaiswal were out, they had hit seven fours and three sixes between them.

Hardik Pandya (22 not out off 9 balls) and Rishabh Pant (2 not out) then completed the chase in 6.3 overs, making the final match of the series on Tuesday a formality.

Earlier, Suryakumar won the toss, and his bowlers repeated their previous day's performance. The home team collapsed, losing seven wickets for just 31 runs in their last 30 balls after being well-placed at 130 for 2 in 15 overs.

Despite scoring 80 runs in the first 10 overs and appearing set for acceleration, Charith Asalanka’s side faltered, managing only 81 runs in the last 10 overs. Pandya’s (2/23 in 2 overs) change of pace and Ravi Bishnoi’s (3/26 in 4 overs) effective googlies played a key role. Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh also contributed with two wickets each.

Pathum Nissanka (32 off 24 balls) and veteran Kusal Perera (53 off 34 balls) had set a solid foundation with a 54-run partnership for the second wicket in six overs, but the middle order crumbled, resulting in another collapse. The Indian bowlers tightened the noose, causing Sri Lankan all-rounders Dasun Shanaka (0) and Hasaranga (0) to play rash shots, visibly frustrating interim head coach Sanath Jayasuriya.

From 130 for 2 in 15 overs, Sri Lanka suffered a middle-order collapse, losing four wickets in 10 deliveries and failing to recover.

Suryakumar’s bowling plans, supported by Gambhir’s strategic insights, were evident. Bishnoi, who had struggled against Sri Lanka's right-handed top-order the previous night, was kept out of the attack. Instead, Riyan Parag (0/30 in 4 overs) was tasked with attacking the stumps while Axar Patel (2/30 in 4 overs) maintained his accurate, wicket-to-wicket deliveries.

The ball’s grip and pace left the batters uncertain whether to advance or stay on their stance. When Bishnoi did bowl, the adjustments he made from the previous night—varying the pace of his googlies—proved effective, with faster deliveries for Nissanka, slightly slower ones for Shanaka, and flat, low deliveries for Hasaranga.

No. In the world T20 he showed intensity. IN this series he just put the ball at 130 k.
I think after his divorce,he may have played with atleast little interest if he was a captain. Now it became clear he will never be and he will get accused if he does not play under sky for sky's first stint.
