Wondering if the altitude at which you play cricket has an impact on the amount of swing on offer? Traditional and reverse?

I know for a fact that you can hit the ball longer. Wondering if that affects the pace at which the bowler bowls as well. As in does it take less time for the ball to reach the batsman, when compared to the same bowl at sea level?

When playing golf at high altitude one can usually add 10-20% to their range of the tee.

Did I hear that right? Commie seemed to say Pandya bowled one at 140 kph.

Looks like a skiddy pitch.

140kph coming on very quickly to the batsmen.

Looking forward to this one. Should be a cracker.

Umesh produces some really goof Jaffas. Only if he could be a bit more consistent and not have an economy rate of nearly 6.

India's Md Sami

Go back to club cricket Taylor, you useless, pathetic garbage batsman! And take Guptill with you! Maybe there you will learn batting again.

The ball was doing a bit but the batting from our batsmen was woeful.

This is what I mean when I bag the quality of batsmen today. 99% of them become useless the moment the ball starts to do a bit.

Why is Rahane in the team????????????????

There are literally half a dozen young batsmen more deserving than him.

Pandya was impressive with the ball in the India A tour of Australia recently.

But I'm not sold on his batting yet.

You are right. They are beyond repair. Probably need backyard cricket to improve their technique. Maybe they will know where their off stump is then.

Spending less time in circus leagues and more time in county cricket can help them improve their game.

Really? He is poor man's Thisara Perera.

Yes, really! Great bowling right now, great fielding, great passion and can explode with the bat (though needs more consistency with the bat).

Hear the commies praise Pandya and Yadav.

Bumrah concedes only 1 run in his first over. Nice beginning.

He is better than guys like Stuart Binny and can improve because he is young. But he is not a disciplined bowler.

Man wish BMac was still playing. It's like someone has let the air out of NZ :))

Good to see Saurav in tha house. Long time no see :)) Hope all is well bud.

And another one bites the dust. This is worse than our lot :)) Game over red rover!

McCullum's legacy becoming bigger and bigger with each passing NZ match.

No fight from New Zealand. Hopefully if NZ lose their fans won't blame it on the pitch, ashwin and umpiring. :inti

Why do you keep crying about T20 leagues everywhere?

SA blanked Aus 5-0, guess what QDK, Amla,Duplesis, JPD, Miller, Steyn, Abott, Rabada, Tahir, are all regulars in T20 leagues.

KW seems like a poor leader. If he doesn't turn it around, he could be gone by the NZ summer.

Have faith in Dhoni. Neesham and Latham can still stage a recovery if they play out next 5-8 overs without trying anything fancy.

Gotta cut him some slack chief. Good things take time. Except in the case of Mathews :yk

Why do you keep defending circus leagues everywhere? Let others post their opinion too. Not everyone shares your likes and dislikes.

He comes off like a poor leader, we have no direction under him and his batting seems to have dropped off as well.

He's comparable to thisara in his first 2 years before thisara lost his pace and became fat. I doubt it would happen with this guy.

Yeah captaincy ain't for everyone. Only time will tell I guess. Tough job.

Can see no difference between the body language of new zealand and west indies players. They all want to go back home as soon as possible. :inti

Sunny Gavaskar on the pitch before the match started :

Pitch report now. "This is like a road," says Sunil Gavaskar. "This is not a pitch for fast bowlers. This is a surface for batsmen like me." Need we say anything more?

Score now 79/7 :))

tells how much these experts really know.

He is partially right. Quality batsmen like him can score runs on this wicket. Legside hacks like Taylor and wafters like Guptill won't.

Went into the squash court with NZ at 70 odd for 7. Come back and NZ have score 190

Was it Dhoni's doing? It could be excused if he was experimenting. Was he?
