The reality is most Indians realise the problem their nation is in - Hindutva - but it takes a brave person to admit it. Instead, it's about propping up images.

Bbc or Pakistanis or anyone else who is not an Indian has zero stake in how Indians run their country. Their opinion holdd no value.

Where does the question of being traitor comes from?

People got conquered. Some of them decided that it would be easier to live if they followed the religion of the conquerors. Thats it.

They weren't foreigners after the first generation. at max you can say the first two generations were foreign, but most Muslim rulers were born and bred in the subcontinent. Also keep in mind that even before Central Asia and Afghanistan was Muslim people from that area invaded the subcontinent. However before Islam they simply assimilated into the existing religion. Thats the big issue for the BJP supporters, that they didnt assimilate, and hence they are foreigner in perpetuity.

The "foreigners" who conquered the subcontinent didn't pack their bags and leave like the British. They made the subcontinent their home. They married local women, and mixed their blood with the locals so there are no hard feelings towards them, they are viewed as subcontinent Muslims, with the exception of the first generation.

Let me give an example:

Rajput Surnames: Bhatti, Minhas, Janjua, Chauhan, Rajput

Central Asian Surnames: Bukhari, Chugtai, Mirza, Baig, Mughal

There is no difference culturally between people with Rajput and Central Asian surnames, nor is their any animosity among them due to historical conflict. you will find often in the same family various types of surnames. Intermarriage solves a lot of problems.

You can learn from this. In India if the high caste and low caste people start inter marrying it will finish off the caste system forever within a couple of generations.

Hindu Mahasabha on Tuesday organised a function in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh to commemorate the 111st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi's assassin Nathuram Godse. The event triggered an attack on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government by the opposition Congress.

Condemning the celebration of Nathuram Godse's birth anniversary, Congress said the event was allowed to take place only because a BJP government was in power in the state.

To commemorate the birth anniversary of Nathuram Godse, a function was organised at the local office of the Hindu Mahasabha in Gwalior while the city is in lockdown. A total of 111 lamps were lit in the office to coincide with Godse's 111th birth anniversary.

National vice president of the Mahasabha Dr Jaiveer Bharadwaj said nearly 3,000 workers of the party lit lamps in their houses on Tuesday for the same reason. He also called Nathuram Godse a "patriot".

The incident led to an attack by the Congress on the ruling BJP.

"The organisers of such events get strength from the fact that there is a BJP government in power in Madhya Pradesh," Congress spokesperson Durgesh Sharma said.

Former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, through a series of tweets, termed the celebration as "unfortunate".

"To celebrate Nathuram Godse's birthday, to glorify him and light lamps on his photo is very unfortunate. There is a lockdown in place in the state which prohibits holding of any functions but the organization of Godse's birthday suggests a failure of the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government. When the Congress was in government, it had acted against organizers of such events strongly. Shivraj government should specify whether it stands for Godse or Gandhi's ideology," Kamal Nath tweeted.

The BJP, on the other hand, said that Congress remembers Mahatma Gandhi only when it is convenient. "The Congress has long distanced itself from Gandhi ideology and uses Gandhi for its own ends," state BJP spokesperson Rahul Kothari said.

Pragya Thakur had created controversy prior to 2019 election saying Nathuram Godse was a nationalist (Desh Bhakt). Personally I do not agree with this statement and neither does BJP. Infact Modi even reprimanded her for praising Godse who killed Gandhi. Congress on the other hand had always claimed that Nathuram Godse was the first terrorist in India.

But still people of India (Bhopal) voted for and elected her in landslide victory over Congressi Digvijay Singh. Same Digvijay Singh who claimed once that 26/11 attack in Mumbai was done by Rss.

So is it safe to say majority of people in India agrees that Godse was Nationalist?
