India has refused to collect the Asia Cup Trophy from Mohsin Naqvi

It’s fine keep the trophy, it doesn’t mean much, everyone saw the game.

BCCI should let it go and after 25 years when things improve as a goodwill gesture PCB can give the trophy

We need to move on from the trophy fiasco. Mohsin had the last laugh that night by denying our boys their rightful moment with the trophy.

He made us feel deprived, and for once, he shattered the aura of invisible dominance and intimidation surrounding the BCCI. It doesn’t look dignified to keep begging for a trophy we won fair and square on the field. That trophy has now lost its meaning, and all the BCCI can do is push for some token sanction against Mohsin Naqvi which, at this point would carry no real weight because the moment has already passed.

Sometimes, you have to accept a symbolic defeat. We showed attitude, but Mohsin doubled it by walking away with the trophy. It was a bold and risky move as things could easily have turned ugly had anyone from our side confronted him or lost their cool. But being on UAE soil, no one dared to cross that line and in hindsight it’s probably for the best that it didn’t escalate further.
