Stupid choice of words from Wasim. He could have written this in a much better manner. "Your enemy is our enemy". What? Lol

Terrorism is everyone's enemy.. At the end of the day it's an ideology which causes more harm than anything else..

It's a common enemy for everyone.

With IK as PM and after his statements I think this is a perfect opportunity for getting rid of terrorists and building better relations..

India should provide all the proof to Pakistani authorities and should get the terrorists tried out and punished for their crimes.

Pakistan should provide all the proofs they have for the same.

Once this simple steps are followed both countries will build up some trust and then slowly we can move towards USA-Canada type relations.

Not like anything will happen but this should happen and needs to happen from both sides..

Not so easy. There is some link between this Azhar guy and relative stability in Pak especially with CPEC. That's why China is adamant too. India has totally ignored that other terrorist Hafeez for some reason. US, France and other Western countries are with India on this Azhar for the same reason. Some intricate link.

Nothing is easy when you have been in such a mess for last 70 years. But someone has to take initiative sometime to give their future generations a better place to live in..

Both countries tries armed forces are strong enough that if they are together can tackle the menace of terrorism. It's just political will which is needed.

The issue is political. At the end of the day, countries look at their national interests first. Kashmir is almost impossible to solve and without that there is no peace.

I am talking from an idealistic viewpoint and you are talking from a realistic viewpoint..

I know nothing will change in our lifetime however I still have little hope.

Wasim is begging India not to attack rather than giving a defiant message like if you attack us, watch what we do to you in return

What terrorism? Pakistan has claimed there were no terror camps where India is claiming to have dropped bombs. So what exactly is Wasim talking about? Imo its pure stupidity from him. Peace could be demanded in better ways. And thats why i wrote it was a poor choice of words from Waz.

Wasim Akram is doing the best he can for his nation.

He can't speak directly against India because it will make him lose his paycheck.

Mocking him makes no sense.

Cmon...let's see how many PPers here would have guts to speak out and risk their careers.

When the push comes to shove, all are cowards (if you want to take a dumb perspective). It's just that we have priorities and can't go about speaking anything we want. We won't go against our organization/boss.

So let's not posture as heroes online.

--

Technically, his statements while true, are meaningless. I appreciate his sentiments though.

Wasim Akram is calling for peace. Like almost 99.99% of Pakistanis.

Yes, but by fixing this conflict to the insurgent strike in India he is echoing Indian narrative. There was no verifiable proof that the Pulwama attack was linked to Pakistan yet India went on the offensive. He is clearly looking out for his future employment interests here.

so there are no terror camps in Pakistan ? Where are they then ? In India ?
Where was Laden hiding at the Time of his death ?
Where is Masood Azhar currently living ? Not in Pakistan ? Didn't he claim responsibility for pulwama attack ?

what's that verifiable proof you're looking for? Didn't Azhar claim responsibility for pulwama attack ? Is he not related to Pakistan ?

Hopefully you are not shouting like Arnab while asking these questions. :inti

It is a bit ironic that some people are willing to treat as gospel the word of someone they themselves label a global terrorist when he claims that he killed 40 Indian personnel but believing the word of DGISPR when he says that 2 Indian jets were shot down is a bridge to far.

India should do us a favour and give him an IPL contract so that he can stop begging and embarrassing us.

Dont beat around the bush. Did India give you any proof that their jets bombed JEM terror camps inside Pakistan? Yeah, i thought so. Thanks for coming.
