India won the toss and chose to bat first.

England's captain said he wanted to bowl first anyway. So, both teams got what they wanted.

Interested in seeing Dawkins, Rew and Farhan from the English team.

The first two have played FC and Farhan is Rehan’s brother

Hopefully the boys don't get too excited and try to get bowled out cheaply while trying to smash 400.

Score 300. Win the game.

IND19 100/1 in 13.2 , wonder kid on 55 from 34 . I wait for the day when he bats for over 100 balls .

122/1 in 15 .... what is a par score on this Harare pitch looking at the ordinary bowling attack IND has ?

100 in the WC final. Lad's done very well.

Congratulations Vaibhav. May you career be bright and lustrous, just as your surname promises.

Game over already for England. Sooryavanshi will likely become a game-defining player like Bradman, Tendulkar, Viv Richards, Lara, etc.,

He’s undoubtedly the most dominant batter ever at Under 19 levels.

Full stop.

Nobody’s even close

Almost 3rd straight six. Send him to Charles Xavier's academy, this isn't very human. lmao :yk

The crazy about it all is that HE IS DOING IT IN A FREAKIN WORLD DUO FINAL!

This is stuff people do against associate nations in group matches bro

What the hell. England are a World Cup finalists, he’s making a mockery of the final right now.

Fun is over. Iconic 175 innings in U-19 World Cup final.

The greatest knock in the history of u-19 World Cup.

:kp

Sameer says Hi, he has the fastest 100 in U19 level, outperformed Vaibhav by almost twice as many runs in the Asia Cup, had 2 low scoring chases to uo the NRR in the WC. He also is the only batsmen in his team whereas Surya can always go for broke because he knows there are others who can be relied upon. Anyway both are future stars.

The more I see this Indian U19 batting lineup the more I sense how wonderful our U19 pace attack was and it bowled them out every single time.

Vaibhav just scord greatest knock in under -19 World Cup history and that's too in final amd you're talking about a Pakistani tullebaaz. :klopp :kp

It's a one man show most of the times. Get Vaibhav out, thank your stars. If you don't, get blown away.

W Manny Lumsden to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, outCaught by Thomas Rew!! The most dominatiing knock in the history of U19 World Cup comes to an end. Most of the England players walk across to shake hands as Sooryavanshi walks off. What a knock! He does not even look disappointed on missing out on a double century. He walks off to a standing ovation and he acknowledges it with a bat raise. Lumsden goes round the wicket, angles it in and takes pace off, Sooryavanshi sits down to play the lap but the ball does not come on, hits his glove and lobs behind for Thomas Rew to take a dolly. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi c Thomas Rew b Manny Lumsden 175(80) [4s-15 6s-15]

Since they were hastily put together for the Asia Cup, our team has bowled out every opposition since then, every game.

By Gawd, this is Adam Gilchrist- 2007 WC final vibes.

In my dreams this is how I imagined India to close World Cup finals lol 😂

Sponsors will be wise to sign a 10 million dollar deal with the kid before it's too expensive. Only a matter of time, once in 50 years talent. :viv

No doubt. Big deals will come his way.

biggest winner is RR. They got him pretty cheap from what I remember. THey have him for two more years. At end of that, the pocket books will open.

Guys like him are essential for promoting cricket.

Agree with 50 years talent part.

This guy is just on another level , even modern day batters are no where near his class and he is just 17.

@Rana should have asked England to boycott the match like Pakistan has done to avoid the embarassment. Pakistan is very cleaver as they have already surrendered.

:klopp :kp

Grounded the ball while taking a catch and pretended like nothing happened
chipped back to the bowler! Farhan swoops to take a low catch to his left. Zip and grips, maybe stops in the pitch, and Malhotra punches uppishly off the inside half of the bat. Good reactions from the bowler. The TV umpire just checking that he didn't ground the ball as he put his left hand down - was there any contact with the turf as he rolled over his right shoulder? Zahid Bassarath is taking a good long look at this, and gives it not out!. Actually, looks like the problem was that Farhan put the ball on the ground in order to get up, without having full control over his body

"I've been a strong defender of the law, but if they've deemed it grounded as he's getting up, that's extremely harsh," argues Vaughan. "He appears to be in full control of his movement at that point. Pushing up to stand is not the same as diving/sliding."
