India upholds controversial marriage annulment amid ‘love jihad’ inquiry

Thanks for that link. As you said a 25 year old of sound mind have every right to decide what she want as per the law. If she goes away from parents or her husband, nobody can dictate her to go back unless she wants to do the same. I feel bad for her parents but we can't overlook her rights too. I would say the same if a muslim girl converts to Hinduism or any other religion.

And, this Markazul Hidaya and many such institutions provinding religious classes to the converts has been there for several years tbh. If the police and NIA finds anything illegal there, it should be brought out to public notice with proofs and should be locked down forever.

Are saying her views are a "little bit extremist" because she asked her parents to convert/ then i am sorry, I have to disagree with you.

Go through the above report and read what her muslim friends said about her initial inclination and association with an extremist couple. Her father also said to have submitted some documents in high court as proof of her association with extremist elements.

True, that couple sounds suspicious. About her extremist connections, i guess we will get an answer to this in their next sitting in the Supreme Court.

Our's is a conservative society where parents invest on kids with a hope that they will look after them when they gest old. Instead when these kids becomes adults they go on their own way and change their religion. For them, they lost their beloved daughter now and are ashamed to show their face in front of their other community members. They will be accused of bad parenting and not managing their child well.

I won't laugh at this love tbh because some parents give their everything for these kids and still......

And you see this as a good thing? Happiness is derived from one self, not putting that burden on another. In that case you will never be happy because everyone is only human and will often disappoint you.

Also as an individual you have a right to prescribe to your own destiny rather then what another person expects.

Giving everything to your kids in the expectation that they will do whatever you prescribe for them is not healthy. Unconditional love is healthy.

No not a good thing at all. But they love their children soo selflessly that they give everything to them without thinking what they will do/have next, which is very unhealthy.

So the love of parents comes at a cost of kids not being able to take decisions in their life? Taking you as an example would you call you parents up as to whom you are going to operate upon.

I love my parents a lot but that doesn't mean I don't have an opinion of my own. We do have a lot of differences in certain matters but I try to make them understand why I did so without offending them. And why would I take my professional opinions from anyone except my professors and seniors?? That's a stupid question.

Its very similar to one asking their parents for choosing their partner, considering you have to live with one forever.

Bring back Hindu girls who have been lured by love jihad: Gyan Dev Ahuja

Even a famous cricketer like Zaheer Khan was accused of "love jihad" when he married a Hindu actress few months ago.

Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Gyan Dev Ahuja has once again raked up controversy, this time, after his stance on “love jihad”.

In an interview to ANI, Ahuja claimed that Hindu girls were being lured into love jihad and taking up religious conversion.

“Our girls have been lured on the pretext of love jihad. But I am giving these people time to bring the girls back safely to their homes. If this is not done, I am telling you, your daughters will not be safe; you have wrongly converted the religion of our girls,” Ahuja told ANI.

The BJP MLA from Rajasthan recently made headlines for saying that cow slaughter was a bigger crime than terrorism.

“Cow slaughtering is a bigger crime than terrorism. Terrorists kill two to three people, but when a cow is killed, sentiments of crores of Hindus get hurt,” Ahuja had said.

In the wake of increasing incidents of mob lynching in the name of cow smuggling and slaughter, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had urged all the state governments to take stringent action against those involved in mob lynching incidents and punish them at the earliest.

Hindu outfit rallies against ‘Love Jihad’

Hindu Jagran Manch (HJM) on Sunday held a rally in Maninagar to protest the growing number of alleged Love Jihad incidents.
The protestors later submitted a memorandum to Deputy Commission of Police (zone 6) R T Susra.

HJM officials said the disappearance of a Maninagarbased girl in May this year became the trigger for the Sunday rally. Inspired by RSS, HJM has been operating in Gujarat since last 2 years and claims to aid members of the Hindu community in ‘Love Jihad’ and ‘Land Jihad’. Devendra Jani, President of HJM, said, “The rally was meant to alert people and especially Hindu daughters about the perils of Love Jihad as such incidents are on the rise.”

Calling it a “social issue”, the memorandum said, “For past many years in Gujarat, Hindu daughters and sisters from well-to-do families have been made targets by the Muslim community. Recently, a girl from the Patel community was duped by a Bengali Muslim boy and a complaint in this regard was filed but the police have been unable to trace her. Doubts are arising whether the authorities are siding with Jihadi forces? In 10 days if the authorities are unable to rescue the girl from ‘Love Jihadi’ elements, and hand her over to their parents, we will hold a larger protest.”

Speaking to Mirror, RT Susra said, “On probing her disappearance, we found that she had eloped and was living happily with the boy. And she’s not a minor. However, her parents have also filed a pliant of theft of ornaments from the house, which is being probed. Members of the Hindu Jagran Manch gave a representation to the police on Sunday, but the said incident has already been probed.”

HJM claimed to have sent letters in this regard to Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja, the Ahmedabad Collector, city Police Commissioner and Maninagar MLA among others. Majority of participants in the Sunday rally belonged to the Patidar community, HJM said.

It is well known that in india, many muslim males pose as hindus to woo girls, and hindu girls wear burkha to feel safe from males.

So Muslim males demonstrate the tolerance of Islam while Hindu females demonstrate that Islam keeps being spread peacefully in India.

You can give yourself all the tributes you want but my sister in law is from Aligarh..she had to wear burkha if she wanted to step out at night, so that muslims won't harrass her.

It is even more well known that Hindu females are often attracted to Muslim males for some reason, that is the whole reason this love jihad nonsense has become a hot topic. I think you are bordering on fake news territory here, your reasoning makes very little sense.

Show some proof, from any news reports, doesn't have to be from Ur sis

Muslims do have that irresistible charm, no denying that. but those who pretend to be hindus must be lacking it, when khan surname is more appealing that some bunty sharma or kanhaiya kumar. I guess among muslims, those with persian, arab and afghan ancestry are the ones with more appeal..not the local desi ones.

Can't argue with that logic, you would know your local market better than me.
