Don't see the point wasting a quality Test bowler on dead flat pitches where they are only there to provide cannon fodder. For the same reason I wish Siddle was not playing.

Look at the TALL & NOT SO MIGHTY ISHANT for example of what happens when you get talented Test bowler and make him play on these pitches for target practice.

He was - but they did mean he was going to be a superstar all rounder rather than that he was already a superstar all rounder.

And yes picked on reputation for most of the summer but he did deliver in the CL, his bowling has picked up pace and he has been making runs.

All rounders always come in for criticism because although the technical definition is a guy who can command a place on either skill all rounders are generally these days players who are OKish at both rather than great.

Symmo would be great but he does not want to play for Australia anymore. White is just a batsmen now, not an all rounder.
