He would be following the team plan.Hayden & Ponting are already out and he would have been asked to play the anchor role

This assumes he is capable of doing something other than playing the anchor role. :batman:

Hussey is batting, he is well capable of being the anchor, he averages 70.

Like I said yesterday, Aus will play it conservatively.

That aggressive intent seems to have gone that makes them believe they can win from any position.

30 off 128 balls.

Save me.

RA is refusing to watch anymore of this match while he is batting.

Back in a while....

Sheez, what the **** is Katich doing??? Does he even want to TRY to win???

Im glad i missed AUS batting...

I feel Gambhir has done a great favour by dropping Katich.... surely Clarke would have got the scoreboard motoring along with Hussey rotating the strike

Thank god Katich is out.

99-3 Katich 34 and out

Amen

Wow if I didn't hate Katich before this I hate him with a passion now.

What did that stonewalling achieve? We are neither safe in terms of runs nor in terms of wickets. All he did was waste time and make it harder for us to win (and easier for India to win or draw).

This game is very frustrating just cant predict what will happen. However should Australia add another 100 runs, I dont see India chasing it down with Sachin & Laxman royaly looking out of it, best case for India from 1st test would be a draw....We tend to play Aussies better as the series progresses so best bet would be not to lose this one...

Already the scoreboard is moving since Mr Cricket has got Clarke as willing and positive partner at the other end.

Gone!!!Boy if we could spark a collapse with the total below 200.... u never know

This inns he has been bowling at 134-136/7 kph.

Thanks dude. That is almost 10 kmph less than what he has bowled in Oz.And as I type this Clarke departs

It is very surprising that the Aussies aren't reading Ishant's slower ball

I don't think they have seen it before.

Ishant now has got his career average down to 32 runs per wicket. And improving. Well done.

This bloke is likely to be the first Indian to average under 28 in Test cricket.

And he has awesome hair.

And I hate Simon Katich.

True but both Lee and MJ were clocked a lot slower than usual also.

Watson-Poor man's Symonds

Watson 3/45, hit Ganguly and Sharma in the head.

Symonds can't do that unless he is throwing the ball from cover lol.

But Symonds batting >>>Watson

Dhoni not sure if it carried...

OF COURSE it didnt.. i could see it in realtime

sign of things to come.
no matter what target the aussies set, india will have to apply themselves really really well to win or draw this. although lack of a quality spinner might just hurt the Aussies.
ah this is why you watch test cricket!

I can see only one winner at this time, and m afraid its not India.
anws well done bhajji and Zaheer for dragging it till the last day.
Such a shame for Fab 4.

Everything depends on the start which Sehwag provides.Surprisingly India look like a one man army now

May be we should send ZAK & Harbh ahead of the Fab 4

Yeah a real bonus for Australia now that Katich has gone.

Guys Katich batted a session. Did not lose wickets...katich out that time would have been blunder for Australia. India are now more in trouble....an average attack like Pakistan took 10 wickets against India in Bangalore on the last day...M sure Aus can do the same

Is it me, or the did pressure relent as soon as Kumble returned to the bowling.

Who doesnt belong in the AUS batting line-up by looking at this scorecard?

Hint: look at the # of deliveries used

Good test match this. Tomorrow is looking all set to be a cracking day.

Last day of Bangalore...reminds me of the Pakistan test..8 wickets in two sessions :yk :yk

Strange tactics from the Aussies today. Normally they would have looked to score quickly and push the lead up to 300 plus by the close of play today, but they were just scratching around especially Katich?

well why? If he hasnt retired? England tour next..
unless he annlunces retirement we cannot say anything

they could not have risked losing too many wickets. I find nothing wrong with it. they will still push for it :poodle

it has to be on the line not behind.
this is a valid delivery.
It has to be behind... so that was a no-ball

What i wanted to show with the image is that it was a marginal one

This is a Romali special: cheating SAF umpire! :P
