ah..so is it still a no ball if some part is on the line?
have the laws changed?

no the laws have not changed.

Some part of the foot has to be BEHIND the line otherwise it is a no ball. That is how it has always been.

Law 24 (No ball)

5. Fair delivery - the feet

For a delivery to be fair in respect of the feet, in the delivery stride
...
(ii) the bowler's front foot must land with some part of the foot, whether grounded or raised, behind the popping crease.
...

target of 300 off 75 overs should be the aim for Australia tomorrow to set India, will allow them to set quite attacking fields.

Now we know why the Indians are always complaining about the umpiring decisions;.... they don't know the bloody rules !! :Evil

For Savak, Lee's fastest ball this match has been 145.8 kph

Which he hit yesterday and thats not his average speed. That should be his average speed. Its no surprise Mitchel Johnson has been more successful than Lee because Johnson has looked to bowl fast and aggressively. Lee has to crank it up if he really wants to be amongst the wickets on this tour. He has to put in a lot of effort. He is going nowhere bowling line and length and at 85-86 mph

draw match. They will have to chase 300+ on this 5th day pitch >not gonna happen. HOpe they can draw iwth a classy draw!

I rate Chopra higher than Krapich

Edit - just had a look at an Aussie cricket forum and they are calling for the Katman's head. General sentiment is that he just cost us the chance to win the game.

Dont the captain/dressing instruct him? He is not a seasoned player capable of snubbing the management.

Aussies could have won this, India + Australia made 240 today. They needed to start hitting in the last 20 overs but decided against it. They only have 10 overs tomorrow to make a game of this.

Funny that because of Katich AUS probably cant win anymore :)) :)))

Katich > dravid + kallis combined. Hail katich for saving this for India, not yet though. I am still confident of India's choking abilities that they can pull a chance for Australia.

Absolutely disgraceful from Katich. An absolute joke. Aus can't win this now, only India can lose it. You are a worm Katich.

The pitch is wicket is turning a lot, and we do have the best spinner from either side (M.Clarke) so there is a chance that India will fold under pressure. I think you'll find as soon as Shewang gets out, Dravid will just drop anchor and that will kill any momentum India will have chasing the runs.
