Steve O'Keefe worked really hard for this. Pulled out of his BBL contract to go to the UAE to do it.

Those 60 odd runs Starc scored have given Australia complete control of this game.
 
We reached the milestone of 105..can we get to 110...it will be tough on this pitch..but with some incredible luck we can get there

I am still not in panic mode yet. I just hope our bowlers restrict them to under 150 in the next innings. I am more than confident that India and Kohli will chase 300 in 4th innings. Kohli will not fail TWICE in a row, India will not lose any home test under him.

Why would I get hurt? I am probably the most optimistic Indian poster on this forum. I have full confidence in my teams players unlike you. I still believe India will win this match.

Any spinner will make an impact on a Day 9 wicket and O Keefe did so Warne was right :srt

I am not confident at all.

You can't collapse from 94-3 to 105 all out and expect to be in the game.

Our batting lost us this test.

And we went with one batsman less..rahuls injury makes it 2 batsmen less.

This is an impossible task..

India cannot chase remaining 155 if they bat again. So if aus gets allout for less than100 also noway will india gonna chase as our tail starts with rahane

You are getting a little too carried away with this. Only attack capable of picking 20 wickets on flatter decks will be India.

Might not turn too much for the first 5 overs because of the roller. Warner should attack and demoralize the parosis even more

India have to roll the Aussies to have any chance and your spinners are your best chance of doing that.

Nice joke. We are talking about proper flat tracks that don't turn. Indian fast bowlers are bang average. Australia and South Africa are the 2 best attacks in the world and only they can trouble good batting lineups on very flat tracks
 
Kohli got the team selection wrong. You shouldn't be one dimensional. Should pick team based on pitch. If it's a flat one, should pick 5 bowlers and 4 bowlers if it's a turner to strengthen India's batting.

Maybe in Australia, not in India. The same Aussie batsmen have struggled on flat Indian decks where Dhawan scored run a ball double hundred.
 
One Warner blitz, and the game is pretty much gone for India.

Quite funny....almost like England 2012 where they were done in by their own pitches.
 
This has to do a lot with mental toughness! Too many test matches all at home, got complacent! This pitch is completely different from all those pitches, but the approach by Indian batsmen was like they were playing on flat pitch. On this kind of pitch it is the top order and middle order who have to bat sensibly and build the innings. It is not like on those flat tracks playing all the shots and then even lower order coming in and making merry! This is the pitch where top order has to bat through and take the responsibility. I don't think Indian batsmen (including Kohli) have grown to that maturity as yet (compared to Dravid/Laxman/Sachin). That's why Indian curators should have remained safe sticking to semi-flat pitches.

On such pitches India can still win when their spinners bowl to their full potential and Opposition batsmen couldn't combat them. But the Indian batsmen are not adept to win the match on their own! So the best ploy as of now is to have semi-flat pitch, stretch the match and suffocate the opposition (though it looks boring)

i was following on cricinfo and they would often throw in terms like 'massive turn,' 'vicious' on random deliveries

a poor turner doesnt always mean wickets are on crazy turning deliveries. Its just that the odd delivery does putting indecision in the batter's mind and getting out to relatively straightforward deliveries while looking for turn
 
India is out of the game already, but even to give ourselves a hypothetical chance, we need to get them out under 100.
 
Match is done, india will be dealth a huge morale crushing defeat of 200+ runs.
