9 overs left me thinks in days play... unless light is offered and we go off earlier.

At the moment - he is operating in high 70s and low 80s ... In the second session, his pace rose up to mid 80s but that was it !
 
Now Misbah must take a single on the fifth or sixth ball of every over.

started at around this pace when the match started, and slowly built up to 138-140 by the second spell.

Akmal's keeping will definitely be tested on this pitch which is keeping low at times and has a lot of turn in it ...

Anyways, looks like a great fightback by Misbah and Sami. Hope they can push on to 250 and beyond.

I have a feeling that since this partnership reached this far Kumble may not like to bowl out now instead might want Pakistan to bat one hour tomorrow morning, just make sure not to bleed too many runs. it's very tricky to bat in the morning under the fogy condition.

India have bowled with discapline and pakistans batting has just been shameful, no application at all apart from Misbah and Sami.
 
Lets hope Bhajji has an injured hand due to the dropped catch and cant bowl for the rest of the match.

cmon man, what kind of thinking is that? No need to start hoping for people to get injured.
 
this pitch is gonna crack up around end of day two or three...you can already see the low bounce..a real kumble wicket!!...I think if we get around 250 or above that will give us something to bowl at...however any lead by india will be good enough i reckon..the pitch may be a minefield by day 4!!
 
That was a shameful appeal by Zaheer & Dhoni - you never know with Doctrove though!

Gotta disagree with you there. I dont wish injury on opposition (Akmal perhaps :) )
 
Sami isnt good enough a batsman to get a nick in that Zaheer over. Missed the bat by a whisker at least 4 times!

Ball is moving away a lot after pitching.
 
i am a little baffled why Misbah is not shielding sami from the new ball whne he took great pains to protect him from Tendulkar, and indeed zaheer and munaf with the old ball.

at least 7 or 8 in the day.

because sami has gotten more comfortable.
 
These two should take a chill pill

only a few overs left. If they survive until close it would be a tremendous fightback.

Misbah, if he lets Sami play the new ball, should make sure he doesnt have to face Khan.
 
Great fightback guys...so glad to see you making a game of it ...anything under 200 would have been disaster....now if they can just sneak it close to 300 that would be fantastic .

You should have seen the earlier ones by Zaheer and Munaf, those were pathetic, In fact,commentators felt that those appeals were absolutely absurd and showed all of them in a little feature. There were probably 7 or 8

Good fight back from sami/Misbah...

hopefully they can re-group tomorrow and get us up to 250 and maybe even 300...
 
Its funny that out of the 85.4 overs bowled today, Sami and Misbah have dissipated 31.4! :14:

Brilliant/tremendous/heart warming stuff from these two. especially proud of Misbah. He has taken some flack in recent times. Great to see him come good and play a real fighting knock.

Finally seen some fight, grit and determination in the Pakistan team. Lets hope this partnership can inspire the rest of the team tomorrow. As khan saab said if we get to 250, it might just be a semi decent total. If we can keep India's 1st innings lead down to less than 100, preferably down to 50-70 tops...then I think we will be in with a real shout at this game.
 
well played Misbah..you know after seeing him bat im actually encouraged..if one or two of our middle order fire we should be ok put up scores..just neeed hamemd or butt to hang about for more than 5 overs!! ive got to say this pitch is gonna have a massive say and kumble!
 
from 144/8 to 210/8 that very good.. lets hope they can carry on in the morning 250 would be great !!
 
Pitch seems flatter than it was made out to be by Pakistani top order. Sami has loads of time to play shots or defense.

but what does that tell you about the batting conditions? Will we get much help from the pitch tomorrow at all to take the 16 Indian wickets (i am expecting atleast 2 "saves" from Doctrove and 4 catch drops)?
