Two of the tests in that series were bowling graveyards ! Ones which were sure of not producing any result ... Taking NOTHING away from Pakistan, I feel that series was very disappointing from a spectator's point of view

and what do you make of this series so far?:):)

One W was pummelled into submission by Jadeja in 1996 world cup. Matter of 40 runs in his last 2 overs were scored by India

Jadeja who?

every dog has his day and he had his that day...

That was world cup. Yorker specialist. You are up against arch rival. If you can't do the job... where else you will like to do! Anyway.. that was just to tell we cannot make assumptions like woulda coulda shoulda...

Kaneria gets Kumble. Two wickets for him now. He is 'going after' the Indian batsmen as he had predicted before the start of this test!! :D

The first test produced a result.

The second one needed a herculean effort by Misbah and Akmal to save the test. India's counter attack in their second innings and Pak trying to bat out the last day - all this didn't make for a good test ??

The third one - its too early to say but for a home nation to be ahead 1-0 and with serious injury problems, one can safely say this is a very sportive wicket.

Anyway.. that was just to tell we cannot make assumptions like woulda coulda shoulda...

please tell me who made assumptions here?

you are the one claiming that Waq career was over ....like if he never played after that match again.....

if you wana call anyone ending someones career, then that would be Wasim Akram doing that to former Indian openner Srikant...

see Let Indian fans enjoy this...I mean we need to look at the oevrall performance for who has been better...that record is heavily tilted in favour of Pakistan...India will have to play like this for 10 years to catch up...aint happening..

dam .. 2 wickets in one innings .. this will ensure kaneria's selection for the next year !!

even this test series the picthes have been bowing graveyard....boring from spectators point of view...hopeless series

kumble - no .. i 'm not declaring until irfan gets a double century !!

You know the bowling is weak when people like Irfan Pathan are making centuries.

And this series isn't? Give me a f'ing break. Both wickets for the last match and this one have been horrible patta batting paradises. You guys are ones to talk as far as making dead batsmen-friendly pitches go!

Kumble probably wanted to give Pakistan a small moral victory of bowling out India for a change in this series !

Time for Younis Khan and Yousuf to get ready after the inevitable early opener losses.

I'm gone boys, time for some sleep.

Irfan Pathan when he was 19 made 55 against Mcgrath, Gillespie, Warne, Kaspa on this very same pitch on a much difficult surface.

Oh man what about when guys like Fiasal Iqbal makes centuries ? :P lol

Exactly. Instead of making idiotic statements, maybe he should have a look at the pitches prepared for this series first.

The tests in the last series hardly went onto the fifth day. The second test in Kolkata looked like producing a result both the times when Pak were 4 wickets down early in their first and second innings. May be you should have a look at the match once in a while and analyze the situation at that moment rather than using hindsight ! Or maybe I should realize how incompetent this present Pak team is that they made flat tracks look like bowling paradises.

And this test could well produce a result ... If India win 2-0 maybe it will be YOU who is making idiotic statements :)

Pakistan picked desperate XI once again. Instead of going in with the fittest XI and inform XI they went by reputation. Otherwise the new keeper would have been keeping and Akhtar would have been sitting out.

It was more our ineptitude than anything else that things looked even close in the 2nd test at Calcutta. The pitches have been horrible and our batsmen have actually made the matches watchable by playing stupid cricket and then fighting their way out of it. Overall, I see no difference in these pitches and the pitches that we had prepared in the aforementioned series. Stop blowing so much gas.

In order to win this match, we have to score at 5 runs per over and wipe out the 633 lead as soon as possible. Seems next to impossible right now. Times like these make me wish we had someone like Afridi or Nazir right now, who could have the license to go berserk

I think it is still a very good batting surface. I won't be surprised if Pakistan put another 500 runs and match will peter into a draw.

Out of total 15 sessions just over 5 sessions are already over. In the remaining 10 sessions Pakistan has to achieve 633 plus and take 20 Indian wickets and chase them again.

Pakistani fans have started coming up with excuses...

Now they feel pitches are flat thats why Pakistan have not performed well in this series. LOL.

What happened to excuses like shoaib is not 100% fit, missing gul/asif/imran khan/wasim/waqar?

There is some reason why India is 2nd in the ICC ranking and Pakistan is 6th or 7th in the list.

he meant decent by hameed's standards :16: :16:

f*** taufell.........that was plumb.....india would have easily won the match if it wasnt for tht terrible decision :po:

bruce having an orgasm over that appeal .. funny our appeals never made him to that .. maybe we need sexier appeals ?

I don't think Yasir will last. Once Kumble starts bowling he will get frozen on his feet. :P

Butt is looking a decent opener, we need someone as decent to partner him
Akmal should open as a pure batsman. He has decent technique and is good enough to apply himself to various situations that the team may be in.

That was NOT plumb. Just because a batsman leaves a ball and it hits his pads, it doesn't mean that the ball would necessarily hit the stumps. Watch closely; you might learn a thing or two.

We just need an individual who can rotate the strike with him, Yasir builds pressure not only on himself but the non-striker.

India have found their own Aaqib Javed ..yes i m talking about Delhis coach Manoj Manjrekar... that guy was working over Ishant this year and told him that Pace is not everything... and now see the result..this guys pace reduced from 138 to 132

You can sense Bruce Yardley's craving for some sort of employment with the BCCI.

They might have a few vacancies for training monkies on how to jump for an appeal or he could be their mascot, but i think he'd settle for the cheerleader role.

Haha this Sharma kid looks worse than Sami. He is bowling no-balls and leaking runs.

Confident start by the Pakistani openers ... 25/0

Ishanth Sharma needs to get it closer to the off stump !!!

Ishant looks more penetrative than the Mohammad waste sami. He may not get wickets. He has already beaten him enough number of times.
