Jayawardene c Karthik b Ishant Sharma 39(67) - 121/1 in 20.2 ov.

first blood to lanka.

20.2
I Sharma to Jayawardene, OUT, Mahela is gone. Just like that. Against the run of play. He reached forward and tried to wrist a length delivery across the line. It flew of the leading edge towards sweeper cover. Pouched! Not sure whether it was a slower one. Will confirm post the replays.

If India loses today, Pakistan will somehow have a test match which will end up on a good note.

It's a tried and tested formula. When one of these teams is having a good time, the other is getting pummelled. India won last match and Pakistan had a horrible first two days of its test match. Now if India loses this final, Pakistan will survive this test. On the other hand, if India manages to win, bye bye Pakistan.

So I hope India loses, for clearly selfish reasons of course.

Stats Buzz: All 7 of Dilshan's ODI hundreds have come away from home. His best in Sri Lanka is 97 against India at Colombo RPS, 2009.

MS Dhoni has never lost an ODI series in Sri Lanka as captain.
1) Beat SL 3-2 in bi-lateral series (Aug, 2008)
2) Beat SL 4-1 in bi-lateral series (Feb 2009)
3) Beat SL in the final of the Compaq Cup (Sep, 2009)
4) Beat SL in the final of the Asia Cup (Aug, 2010)

I hope to my dear loving mighty god that Dilshan or any other 'Sri Lankan' batsmen doesnt break SRT's ODI 200. Sri Lankan batsemn just plain suck outside their habitat and it will be the greatest of insults not only to SRT but also to cricket the sport in general.....

end of dilshan at last.
Praveen Kumar to Dilshan, out Caught by Ishant Sharma at fine leg!! Dilshan c Ishant Sharma b Praveen Kumar 110(115)

India playing like a Pakistan here, one day very good other day very bad.

I am afraid but everyday is not a Sunday.

Excellent effort from RJ who has come on as a sub at deep square leg to keep it down to a single, short of length delivery on off, pulled hard, RJ moves to his right and takes it on the bounce, fires the throw back in quickly as well

Kapugedera got promoted up in the order. He is a good hitter of the ball, but over rated talent by SL media.

Batting Power play yet to choose by SL.. so, From next over batting Power Play will Automatically begin.

So its the 300 required by India.

I am afraid match is over, can't see India win from here, may be post some respectable total.

munna rocks in bowler as always.

hope india will get out around 200 or 220.:))):))):)))

Sehwag Run out, 38/2, there goes India's chances of winning this match
