Is there anything Sanjay Manjrekar dislikes about India?

Both will be tough, but I'll go with Aus because the crowd won't be as vocal![]()

That game at the MCG against SA really showed the power of a vocal crowd. You really seem to fear the Indian crowd![]()

The Indian players fed from it while the SA's were overwhelmed by it.

5 out of 5. Well done, India. Well played, Ireland... tough luck today.
India are not going to beat Aus.
Will take an upset of epic proportions for that to happen.
Are you really a school girl from Shimla? :blossom:
Damn minnows winning the toss & batting first have kept our bats away from the top scorers charts.
I dont get it how come we havent qualified to the quarters but Bangladesh have ? lol
We have.so have SA
So we are playing at the MCG?
So we are playing at the MCG?
Yes.We have secured top spot now too
Only thing whether its SL or BD
Nope buddy..our match in mcg is still not confirmed.we play at mcg only if Bangladesh comes last in group A..orelse we will play it in Adelaide with srilanka
So venue will change according to lower placed team?Whats the logic with that?
Yeah..venues are pre decided based on group A teams,so has to give some certainty to fans to plan travel..irrespective of where they end up in group standings Australia play their qf in Adelaide, nz in auckland, srilanka in sydney and as originally conceived england in mcg.as bangladesh have made to quarterfinals in place of england bangladesh will play their qf in mcg irrespective of their standings in group A.but india can play thier qf in mcg only if bangladesh end up last in their group, which may happen most probably.if BD beat nz in their last group match they will end up 3rd in the group and Sri lanka will be 4th from that group.then inthat case india will play sri lanka in Sydney in qf's.though i doubt it will happen.but possibility is there for it to happen
I get the logic with home teams. But others shouldnt be decided like that.
It had to do with ICC Rankings of NZ,AUS, ENG and SL in Group B. Never understood the logic TBH
Ok, then why pool A then? Coz Aus and NZ are in Pool A? So SL and Eng(originally) were automatically benefited from being in same pool as the hosts?they clearly explained the logic. Majority of the times, you would expect top tanked teams to go through the next level. Having a fixed schedule for those teams will help the teams and especially fans to plan their schedule well ahead. That's why Top 4 teams in Pool A were always going to play at the same venue regardless of where they ended up in the points table.

How did SL and England get higher rankings than India & SA?

Explaining the quarter-final venue allocations, ICC General Manager – Cricket, Geoff Allardice, said: “It is customary for the ICC to afford the hosts the opportunity to play knock-out matches at home where possible during an ICC Cricket World Cup.
“It is also usual for the ICC to assign venues to the higher ranked teams on the assumption they will progress through the pool stage. This is done to assist teams and spectators with their planning by giving them greater certainty. On this basis, the ICC has allocated quarter-final venues to the next two highest ranked teams from Pool A.”
