Still remember 2011 game where Taylor smashed pak all over the park can he do it again today
Neither does he have Abdul Razzaq to bowl to him nor does he have Kamran Akmal behind the stump to give him multiple lives

Excellent death bowling. Neesham's drop by Rohit costed India 30 runs. Kohli had to stop Chahal until 43rd and he gave away 26 in last 2

240 ish (at this stage this is the predicted score) is not a good score against India in any circumstance.
Only a miracle will now stop India from progressing to the final.

As most analysts are saying, you need to get Sharma and Kohli out very early- say before 10 overs are completed, otherwise India will cruise to the final

So ICC/Bcci Made a trailor made pitch for the Indian bowlers. And then we say cricket is a fair game.

True, everything is fixed.....even the rains that washed out a few matches....the bails that did'nt fall....the injuries that happened....everything is fixed....:)

Lol and Indian bowling has nothing to do with that!

When did I say that?

Back on on topic...what was De Grandhomme doing?? That was a long hop that should have been swatted away. Absolute joke of an innings this by NZ.

If a total is around 230 ish DHoni comes alive. This is his perfect total. He can take his own time, tuk tuk till the end and finish it.

De Grandhomme has two careers:

1) against Pakistan
2) against other teams

In one, he is the reincarnation of Don Bradman. In the other, he is Guy Whittal.

Exactly why Dhoni is in the team. Perfect score for people like him.amd DK

I think VK got the bowling changes right more times than not....in this match....good changes and good rotation.....such things go un observed more times than not....go back to how IK used mushtak in 1992....that was fantastic stuff....

Yes it might suit Dhoni but Dhoni is now vulnerable. If India is 50/3 or something it will be interesting to see if Dhoni now has what it takes to win a semifinal from that position.

Kohli should not feel the heat imo.

He is in a safe position...

No. Dhoni is never vulnerable of losing his wicket. His only issue is handling require run rate of 7 or 8.

5 bowlers have done the job for India. Up to the batting now.
How much did India make in the warm up against NZ

Indian Fielding imploding here. They seem nervous for some reason

Bumrah might not let them cross 230.

Bumrah is quick and unplayable in the death overs.
But, despite the pace, I wonder if NZ batsmen will consider batting outside the crease or shuffling back and forth between overs to unsettle him.
I know easier said than done but it might be the only way to convert a potential yorker into a full toss.

lol You think Bumrah won't spot that?

Yorker is not the only ball he bowls

Rain will hurt NZ, the ball won't swing past 5 overs while the rain has just made pitch a lot more easier to bat.

Some dreadful out-fielding from our players, today.

Quite a few fumbles, misfields and overthrows.

Rain rain go away come again another day (Eng vs Australia) little Kohli wants to play rain rain go away... :)))

Bumrah might not have to bowl at all if the rain continues for long.
But if he does his yorkers are pinpoint accurate and close to unplayable and he is also quite a smart person so he knows exactly when the batsmen is trying to get the better of him and he can vary his pace and deliveries accordingly. There is a reason he is so good at death. Its not easy to hit him off.The best you can do is defend it and not give your wicket, which in the death overs is no use at all.

So the rain is forecast for about 2 hours ish..
It is 2pm local time at the moment -
Depending on when play is resumed it might easier for India if the target is revised?

Some good old fashioned Cricket. Love 220 - 230 scoring games where 260 is a massive total

good point....u gotta unsettle by doing somehting different...i guess Jazz boom is good enough to notice and react...buyt yeah....it will make him think diffrerently....

Why take that risk when we have Pant and Pandya in the team? They can chase it in 40 overs.:inti

They have done more than grandpa. Grandpa's drop is already batting now. Then couldn't collect a throw. that is another 2 runs. Grandpa will start with -25 or -30 when he comes to bat.

Yes I know he is smart and knows his game
Hence I said better to try and shuffle around a bit or bat outside crease, in the event he launches a full toss instead
What is the point of just defending it....they need runs so better to take a risk and get out rather than just blocking everything for a dot
