We had a pretty good time of it in the late 90s till early 2000s so don't see how 92 is to blame for something happening three decades later.

Mamoon will always find a dark lining in a bright cloud to flip the saying, but it'd be incorrect to say we were inconsistent pre-1992.

Pakistan were only behind West Indies in the 1980s and were a consistently performing team in bilateral series and multilateral tournaments too having won the Nehru Cup, Champions Trophy, Wills Trophy and Australasia Cup all before 1992.
