Indian interference in Chittagong Hill Tracts insurgency (Bangladesh)

I don't know if many people on PP know about it.

There was an insurgency movement in Chittagong from 1977 to 1997. These insurgents wanted to get their own country called Jummaland. This group was supported by India. So, India basically wanted to divide Bangladesh.

The insurgency failed and a peace treaty was signed. Things are better now but still there are works to do.

Jummaland = The Nation of Kashmir
India = Pakistan
Bangladesh = India

Jummaland is nothing like Kashmir.

I have talked with two retired ex-military guys who fought these insurgents in Chittagong. They confirmed to me that India played a role.
