Protest Over Salary Hike In Noida Phase 2 Turns Violent; Cars Vandalised, Tear Gas Fired

Noida Phase 2 protest today live: Workers' salary hike stir turns violent with stone-pelting and arson. Police fired tear gas shells to restore order at the industrial site. Situation remains tense.

Workers in Noida Phase 2 staged a protest outside a private company on Monday, demanding a salary hike. During the demonstration, some protesters allegedly vandalised cars and office property and stone pelting also occurred during the protest.

Police personnel have been deployed at the site to maintain order. They have used tear gas to control the protestors. Over 50 people have been arrested.

Thousands of workers have taken to the streets across different areas of Phase 2, while protests have also spread to Sector 62, causing traffic disruptions.

There are also reports from Sector 84 of Phase 1, workers allegedly set vehicles on fire, with reports confirming that two vehicles were gutted.

On the previous day, officials from the district administration, police, and the development authority had held a meeting and assured the workers that their demands would be considered.

Protest Affects Traffic In Noida

The violent protest disrupted the traffic movement across Noida and adjoining areas. Authorities have issued a traffic advisory, urging commuters to plan travel carefully amid ongoing congestion and diversions.

According to police, thousands of workers took to the streets in several parts of Phase II and other industrial sectors, escalating their agitation. The situation worsened in Sector 84, where protesters allegedly set two vehicles on fire. Demonstrations also spread to Sector 62, leading to major traffic snarls.

The Noida Police said adequate forces have been deployed across industrial areas, with senior officials monitoring the situation on the ground. Efforts are underway to calm the protesters and restore normalcy. “Workers are being urged to maintain peace and restraint. Necessary action is being taken, and minimum force is being used,” police said, adding that the public should avoid rumours.

As part of traffic management, diversions have been put in place from the Sector 62 roundabout towards the NIB Police Post, and a traffic helpline number (9971009001) has been issued for assistance.

Commuters also reported severe congestion near the Crown Plaza flyover in Mayur Vihar, adding to traffic chaos across the National Capital Region.

The core issue is wage parity.

Gurugram and Noida are two adjacent industrial cities to Delhi and there is at present a Rs 6k (PKR 18k/month) wage difference for workers.

Chaiwala Modi and his BJP stooges are all about gimmicks. No real policies.

I expect more and more domestic problems in India until chaiwala is dethroned. :inti

I wonder how many of these people were boosting about BCCI earnings on social media lol.

This is the industrial mazdoor of our neighbour.

Indians who boast about IPL/BCCI earnings are the corporate mazdoors.

Similar salary and living standards, but whereas the industrial mazdoor is more grounded the corporate mazdoor there lives a fake life full of delusions being sold dreams by Godi media and agencies that their mazdoori today will bring the nation fortune in the future. But the truth is they're just dying from debt, pollution, crime and constant insecurity/jealosy from us and aren't even able to chill like their industrial mazdoor who is immune to media induced delusions.

When the NIA steps in, it usually means investigators have already uncovered serious leads pointing to a wider network or deeper threat.

Also Maharashtra ATS is actively conducting raids to trace the larger conspiracy

All this to divert the attention. ..

Tulla supporter, make sense for once bro. Say something on the topic instead of whataboutism.

Protests in Faridabad as well. Would love to see resident mazdoors like @globetrotter and @Devadwal fight for their rights too. :inti

Do you understand the difference between riots against owner of the company and not against Indian government

Since I am working as Management consultant for many corporates in Mumbai area. This Noida case is clear cut Industrial dispute case. If workers/employees were having grievances then they should have raised thru proper channel i.e. thru their Union by raising Charter of demands. If still owner not agrees with their COD, then they have legal way to approach Labour commissioner who works as adjudicator between both parties. If LC failed to reconcile between both parties, then he referred the case to Labour/Industrial court.

In this case workers resorted illegal way to resolve their issue/demand, now most of them now landed to jail

'Pakistan link' in Noida workers' protest: UP minister's fresh shocker

A UP minister claimed the Noida workers' protest, which brought traffic to a standstill, was a planned conspiracy planned by anti-national forces from Pakistan.

Noida was paralysed on Monday amid massive factory workers' protest demanding better wages. The demonstrations choked key arterial roads and disrupted daily life across the NCR during peak hours. As protests by thousands of factory workers turned violent, the Uttar Pradesh government flagged a possible conspiracy angle, with labour minister Anil Rajbhar saying “links to handlers in Pakistan” were also being probed in light of recent terror-related arrests in the region. The unrest triggered arson, vandalism and clashes with police, while authorities scrambled to restore order and contain the fallout.

Noida Violence Mastermind Arrested From Tamil Nadu After Weeks on the Run

Noida police have apprehended Aditya Anand, the suspected mastermind behind recent violent worker protests. Anand was captured in Tiruchirappalli after weeks on the run and was wanted for inciting violence during a labour protest over salary and overtime issues.

Noida police have arrested the alleged mastermind behind recent violent protests by workers, officials said on Saturday. The accused, Aditya Anand, was picked up from Tiruchirappalli after evading arrest for weeks. According to Gautam Buddh Nagar Police Commissionerate, Anand was wanted in connection with violence during a labour protest that turned aggressive in the city. A reward of Rs 1 lakh had been announced for his arrest.
Police said a non-bailable warrant had been issued against him by a court in Gautam Buddh Nagar, and multiple teams were tracking him across states. He was finally arrested from Tiruchirappalli railway station on April 18 using electronic surveillance and technical inputs.

Key Conspirator in Violence

Officials said Anand played a key role in planning and inciting the violence during the workers’ protest. He is also linked to the Bigul Mazdoor Dasta organisation. Police alleged that along with other accused, Rupesh Rai, Srishti, Manisha and Aakriti, he was involved in earlier unrest in Manesar and later mobilised labour groups in Noida, which led to violent incidents.

The violence in Noida continued for two days as workers took to the streets over issues such as salary hikes and overtime work. Protesters reportedly entered offices, damaged property and set vehicles on fire.

Further action underway
Police said a case had already been registered against Anand at Phase-2 police station. He had been absconding since the incident. Further legal action is being taken against the accused, officials added.

Reading that is akin to neo-nazi ideology, neo-Zionist is similiar…are you implying modi is akin to hitler or netanyahu..?

How is seizing property, making people homeless and destitute beneficial to the nation.

Do you actually know the meaning of the word Jihad?? Its real meaning?? and not something that is used as an agenda by western propagandist and its media and their supporters.

Its one thing throwing words around, using them as a supposed slur and attempting to castigate a community….if thats you, then theirs nothing more to be said…

sanghis and their andhbhakts have to be special kinds of cretins.

Even in a thread dedicated to labour violence in Noida, they didn't forget to eulogize their 2 kaudi ka malik.
