Looking forward to see manan vohra bat, I was excited about his batting, seeing the shots he played in 2014 ipl, that backfoot six off shami is still fresh in my memory, but he has been a disappointment in first class cricket, average of 25 in domestics :facepalm: I hope he improves his game because I absolutely love his strokeplay
 
This game not so important for me but supporting Punjabis tonight. Bcoz of Preity Zinta

Never supported any team in IPL. I do watch sometimes though. Would cheer for Punjab if they play Rishi Dhawan. LOL.

Wish they had women's IPL along the lines of WBBL. I heard Mithali and Jhulan turned down contracts last time around because WIPL was being given a 'thought' by BCCI at that time.
 
Back to back fours by Vohra. It feels great to see IPL when youngsters perform like this. We have such batting talents

That's what happens when you screw up your team buys.

Pune has 3 certified captains with a potential 4th one.

Gujarat has 2 captains at least.

Delhi has none (ver the hill Zaheer is captaining) and Punjab has given it to Miller.
 
If they give MOM to some batsman for scoring a 50 in this game, it'll be a travesty. If Lions win, it has to be Bravo. It should have been Mitch Marsh in the first game for 2 wickets in an over. Bravo is the new Yorker King

'A+' grade for fielding, 'A' for bowling and 'B-' for batting. That's still huge.
 
Why are some IPL teams so lulloos?

Punjab has NO batting depth.

How can you screw up so much in auctions?

There's some really second or third tier overseas players in the match (Stoinis)

I don't know whether it's just me but the match is fairly flat and I'm finding it hard to concentrate on it

I have it on TV but barely watching it. Maybe a ball an over. On phone and laptop at same time too

Been a good four five years since I watched an ipl match live too so bit of a letdown so far.

The first half of IPL starts slow but second half picks up LIKE CRAZY.

Towards the business end, you will have tons of great games.

In rare cases, when IPL starts after a world event, its dull at first.

But you can be sure it will pick up in a couple of weeks.

Craze will increase. Both the matches till now were very one sided. But slowly IPL will pick its pace. Wait for about 10 matches and then you will see :)
 
This team needs to score 165. Gujarat has a really strong batting side

My enduring memory of PK is KP coming down the track, getting down on one knees and smashing him over the leg side for a huge six in the 2011 test series in England.

Peace envoy was fairly decent in that series overall though

No online streaming ? Tried to find it and couldn't lol. I've heard the Tamil commentary during the CCL when Vijay TV was broadcasting. It was pretty good. Initially I thought it was lame, then I watched the English commentary and I was bored to death lol. Who is showing CCL now a days ?
