When: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, Match 52, October 31, 2020; 18:00 Local, 19:30 IST

Where: Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah

What to expect: This being the first of the last two games in Sharjah will be played on a newer (relatively) wicket. The T20 axiom has shifted ever so steadily at this venue with chasing teams winning each of the last four fixtures. MS Dhoni summed up this switch when he said: "There is just enough dew to make it slightly better and that creates a difference between the first and the second innings. It becomes slightly more difficult to score in the first innings in the middle overs and slightly easier in the middle overs of the second innings."

Squads:

Sunrisers Hyderabad Squad: David Warner(c), Wriddhiman Saha(w), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Vijay Shankar, Jason Holder, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan, Khaleel Ahmed, Shreevats Goswami, Jonny Bairstow, Siddarth Kaul, Mohammad Nabi, Bavanaka Sandeep, Billy Stanlake, Fabian Allen, Virat Singh, Basil Thampi, Sanjay Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, Priyam Garg, Prithvi Raj Yarra

Royal Challengers Bangalore Squad: Josh Philippe, Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli(c), AB de Villiers(w), Shivam Dube, Chris Morris, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Washington Sundar, Dale Steyn, Mohammed Siraj, Yuzvendra Chahal, Parthiv Patel, Aaron Finch, Navdeep Saini, Adam Zampa, Isuru Udana, Umesh Yadav, Moeen Ali, Pawan Negi, Pavan Deshpande, Shahbaz Ahmed

Sunrisers Hyderabad have won the toss and have opted to field

Royal Challengers Bangalore (Playing XI): Josh Philippe, Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli(c), AB de Villiers(w), Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Washington Sundar, Chris Morris, Isuru Udana, Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal

Sunrisers Hyderabad (Playing XI): David Warner(c), Wriddhiman Saha(w), Manish Pandey, Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad, Jason Holder, Abhishek Sharma, Rashid Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan

SRH are a better team when they have a score to defend. Extremely weird decision to bowl first.

We are in final week of regular season and still 6 teams are fighting for 3 spots in playoffs. This season is really turning out to be best season ever. Who would’ve thought that we would witness best season on slow pitches of UAE. 🇦🇪

Yar yeh Phillipe kya film bhejdi hai RCB ne?

Such an ugly player

Phillipe looks like an innings builder. Needs to play himself in before letting loose.

Good start by SRH in a must win game. I would bring Rashid Khan on asap. He won't be easy to play with runs needed by RCB.

A win for SRH means the play off teams won't be confirmed till the last league game.

I absolutely rate Philippe, remember him from the BBL playing amazing innings. Should have been playing regularly much earlier in the tournament

SRH look to have their balance right. They won't be easy to beat if they get to the play offs.

SRH equation is simple, win both games and you are probably through. Whilst KKR, Punjab, and RR are relying on other results and NRR. Sometimes being in a simple equation is beneficial.

RCB seems to have reached their norm (slipping their way towards the end of the league games!)

DC also showing their choking genes as well. Punjab are also similar to DC and RCB. These franchies regularly fail to live up to expectations or choke.

That's why they three don't have a cup to show! While others have got it once or even multiple times (Hyderabad in fact with different franchisee!)

sunrisers are not beating mumbai unless mumbai let them. mumbai is simply far too strong. only on a bad day can any team beat them. ridiculous bowling strength. ridiculous batting fire power. best fielding side. All round top side.

RCB vs DC could be a virtual knockout on Monday. Be interesting to see who wins that one.

SRH know how to use their resources , they know how to get to the play offs, and they have Baylis as coach who knows how to win tournaments. Can't rule them out.

It is a difficult one for SRH but anything can happen in T20s. If they do win that, it would certainly give them a boost going into the play offs.

AB should aim to bat till the end of the innings. He played a gem against KKR on this pitch.

de Villiers need to just bat through and not get out. Runs will come up automatically.

This is why AB needs to bat till the end. He can definitely do damage when the pacers come back on later.

Was on cards the way AB was smashing and I am getting similar vibe from Phillipe.

RCB vs DC on Monday going to be hilarious. Both renowned for choking. But someone will win and get in the play offs.

They need to try and bat the next 4/5 overs and set it up for Morris. RCB need to hope he can produce a cameo.

Both can still go to playoffs because they already have 14 points and SRH has to win their final game also vs MI to get to 14 points and KKR/RR have very bad NRR. It's completely open though.

Both can get through. But looks likely 1 will miss out due to being out of form.

Parthiv Patel is now uncle! I think he is there to only cheer his team!

Gurkeerat should either bat up (No.3...?) or should not be playing! Sundar is batting far more fluently than him!

Only 1 team is qualified and 1 team eliminated. This has to be one of the fiercely fought sports championship ever! The team last in the table is also looking formidable!

If SRH openers attack their bowlers upfront then their bowling will become rubbish..

Poor shot by Manish.. Can SRH choke this one? RCB just need Williamson wicket now..

Look like Kane is safe even Chahal touches the ball..

And I'm right, he makes in to crease just in time.. 3rd Umpire just wasted some minutes to check Chahal touch the ball or not..

Poor Umpiring once again.. if Saha out next ball umpires should be fined then..

RCB has done well , they have slowed the opposition here , and making sure their run rate does not damage too much.

RCB 120/7 (20)

SRH 121/5 (14.1)

Sunrisers Hyderabad won by 5 wkts
