Babar is a terrific ODI player , good T20 & a decent Test as I said earlier - this kid has just started his career & could go big - like the fact he came from very humble background
This game shows perfectly why Rohit kohli jadeja need to either retire or they should be dropped. No place for them in T20 int cricket. These 3 will cost Ind another T20 WC 2024. As I said before, Kohli is milking his 2022 T20 WC knock against Pak. Other than that knock he has been pathetic in int T20s notwithstanding today's knock.
What serious money in Indian cricket does is make guys give their level best & if it comes through , life changes amazingly - another case in point Siraj - came from a very humble background & today is worth $ 6 Million+ & that is good money anywhere , more so when you know where he started from just 5 years back ... 149.2 in 12

Thats the worry . Ind will win 3-0 with these seniors in tow and later some IPL knocks and come the T20 WC faves as usual , beat Pak in group stage and enter sf unbeaten and then lose.. Cant see the template being any different this time.
He has lost weight, become more fit and athletic, and is able to play longer. Fitness is a key non negotiable thing in int cricket no matter how talented you are.
Yes in T20 batting second is big advantage .

Virat Kohli, who scored 29 runs off 16 balls, also played a crucial role in providing India a flying start in the chase. Led by Gulbadin Naib's fighting knock of 57 runs off 35 balls, Afghanistan posted 172 all-out. Arshdeep Singh scalped three wickets while Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi picked two each. India skipper Rohit Sharma had won the toss and opted to bowl.

Man you wish right !! Aussies write their own scripts. Jeez you got to give it to them. Have beena fan of them from the 90's - the steve waugh mental disintegration era and I amazed that 30 years later they still turn up for big events with cup winning performances !! Hats off to their cricketing culture.

It's only going to get stronger.
Jaiswal, Gill, Rinku, Sai will all take their games to the next level in this World Cup cycle.
And then you have the likes of Iyer , Samson, Ruturaj as well who have experience and can be called on to do a job.
If anything, Kohli and Rohit overstaying their welcome after the last World Cup is kind of limiting us and not allowing us to unleash our full batting strength.
It's the fast bowling future that looks less assured.
It's only going to get stronger.

Even with Rashid Khan, the margin would not change. It is a total flat bed and bowlers have no chance there. Afghanistan clearly lacking in batting department. They need 2 proper hitters in the top 4 who can strike at over 150 against any bowling attack. Their bowling is pretty good though.

Jaiswal firing is the only positive. Gill should not be allowed to represent India again.
Even though Gill hasn't fired during last few months, I think that's harsh!
Without bowling strength and backup, all this talent in batting will amount to nothing in trophy cabinet
