Good list but I will put Iyer and Pant higher than Pandey. Also, Shaw is a little too high on the list.

Pandey failed to make no.4 his own position in Indian team while Shreyas Iyer has looked a million dollar at that position for us, also showing magnificent leadership quality.

Shaw hasn't played enough for India to be rated even ahead of Dhawan. The list was made more.keeping in mind present form and potential.

Padikkal was far and away the best batsman in Vijay Hazare and SMA trophies this year. Matched Rahul shot for shot. Karnataka have yet another super talent in Rohit Kadam, dont know which team he is part of this IPL.

Indian cricket team is spoilt for choices in the batting department:

- Kohli
- Rohit
- Dhawan (On his day he can be dangerous, has a stellar ODI record)
- Agarwal (Looks technically solid and has got weaponry of shots but, getting chances in LOIs as opener for Indian would be difficult)
- Iyer (Was unlucky to miss out in WC)
- Rahul (As an opener, struggles in the middle order)
- Pandey (Again an under rated player who deserved chances instead of Raydu and Shankar)
- Gill (One of the best young potential, love his bat flow. Placing him bit down currently because his game is still shaping, could have developed much faster if he was given decent run postp NZ tour)
- Shaw (Another impressive talent who is also still shaping his game)
- Samson (Should have been given more opportunities atleast in T20s over Pant)
