I like the format. There is no need to tweak anything. Just replace t20 with this. Frankly speaking hardly anything happens between over 7 to 14 in t20's as team look to consolidate at 6 or 7 an over.
The tournament has seen already scores reach 130 (almost) in 10 overs and that means every over is action packed.
This league may not do it, but that's the way forward for countries that aren't India and are within Asia and by that I mean cooperation. This has a whole team which will carry Sri Lankan interest, caters to UAE, Afghan players, Pakistani ones, and also Bangladesh.
My biggest criticism is you cannot market it as a 90 minute entertainment and then have 4 matches played within one day. That's where viewer tiredness will come place. I understand the reason why they are doing it as well so I won't really complain about it.
If anything, they should use two balls in it. One new, and one roughed up by a machine so that it's consistent and teams can pick two or three overs of their choice with the old ball.
For the generation that needs fast and furious, this is so much better than t20. Anyone who wants to see people chug along for a day can watch 50 overs and anyone who has the time and patience to live life in slow lane can enjoy a test match.
I'd absolutely love for this to continue barring the so many elements of extreme cringe that are being displayed now. For me, this is the format for the future.
