Our beloved poster DHONI183 passed away few hours ago. I request posters to hold prayers and thoughts for him and his lovely family. After prolonged illness his body finally gave up. What a battle he fought! Those he knew him personally know what incredible pain he went though day in and out. He was 32.

I had first interaction with him via PP in September 2007 and we went on to become best friends and I visited him in Frankfurt, Germany about 8 times and most recently last month in January. He was a man of principal and discipline. He family stood with him though thick and thin. More on this later…

Ina lilahi wa ina ilahi rajiyoon

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun, sad news

May his family get strength to bear this loss

Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un

I've seen him so long on PP (when I didn't make a login, easily +10 years ago) that I would have never guessed that he was that young, especially as he also appeared as non-confrontational and level-headed in his approach.

Oh my goodness.

What a shock. I am genuinley saddened to hear this. He was a lovely fella and it was a pleasure to engage with him online.

He has long listed his troubles and challenges with various conditions here on PP yet he remained positive throughout.

Innalillahi wa inna ilyhi rajioon.

Very genuine poster, had no idea he was so sick, and at a time which should be the prime of his life. Sad news.

Innah Lillahi Wah Innah Illaihi Rajioon

This is incredibly sad :(

Ina lilahi wa ina ilahi rajiyoon

He was such a genuine soul . I remember vaguely reading that he had gone for multiple surgeries but never found out what his ailment was.

I hope he has found peace. RIP.

Omgg this such terrible terrible news.

Inna lillahi wa inna lillahi rajiun

He was such a nice poster. I remember back in the day, whoever used to join pakpassion this guy use to welcome them on the forum.

He always came across as a very respectable guy never indulge in any batameezi.

He was the champion of fantasy cricket and would always beat us in those leagues. I think he alsl set up the prediction game aswell. He won the world t20 2021 fantasy while being admitted in the hospital. Thats how dedicated he was.

Man i am really devastated by this news. Just shows how short life is guys and who knows how many posters out there have passed away and we dont know.

This is why we all should be like DHONI183 . Be respectful even if you dont know the guy on the other wcreen, whether we are discussing politics or cricket. Dhoni183 will be missed.

I literally have tears right now. May God forgive him and bestow him the highest place in jannah. Also give sabr to his family members.

Thank you OP for sharing this news with us. We all mourn for him

May the gods give him peace.

He was a wonderful poster. Few years back when he spent a very long time in the hospital he interacted with me. He put an amazing fight to come out of it.

But his issues were chronic.

I have met few posters like him. A wonderful gentleman.

إِنَّا ِلِلَّٰهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ

He's very dear and kind to everyone, will be missed..

Inna lilahi wa inna illayhi rajioon

Inna lillahi wa inna lillahi rajiun

This is so sad to hear. As mentioned by others he was one of the nicest guys on PP. He always carried himself well and was very dignified in all of his interactions on here.

He'll be badly missed. Thanks OP for letting us know.

RIP young man.

Innal illahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.

One of the nicest persons around. I remember interacting with him during 2021 T20 WC competition and he was such a nice guy. His tribute to MSD at the time of Dhoni's retirement was one of the best posts I've ever read on PP.

Really shocked to hear this. I didn't realize he was so young. Thoughts and prayers with his family. May Almighty give them the strength in these difficult times and may Allah grant him a place in jannah.

Excellent poster and a lovely human being.

Such a lovely guy. I remember my initial days here on pp. His fondness to that Australian female cricketer. Still remember his happiness when he got her reply.

Oh man too soon

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiun.

Truly a fantastic poster with a friendly personality. Always maintained a glass-half-full perspective regardless of the topic.

This is incredibly sad news.

I had an absolute pleasure and joy of being a best or bestestttt friend of DHONI183. It was an incredible and breathtaking ride with him over the past 16 years. We accidentally became friends via PP in September 2007 and our friendship took off. I would describe his personality as level headed, calm, mature, very caring, full of love, committed, witty, humorous and romantic. Dhoni183 lived an exemplary disciplinary and principled life. He was a ‘foji’. I often teased him with ‘naqli foji’ tag if his call would be a minute or two late. Allah gifted him with immense talent - he could sing, write poetry and books, perform mimicry of various celebrities and politicians. Dhoni183 was like a combo, he could do anything. He was a jolly and funny friend to be with.

Dhoni183 authored a book called ‘Zacrodonia - The Sacred Land’ despite his various health complications. It took him two years to write the book. He was extremely knowledgeable about various religions. He had a passion to learn different religions and he was a master of Islam. You could ask any random question regarding Islam and most probably he would answer you on the spot. Inquiring and gaining religious education was a hobby for him. He never went to school but wrote English like a champ. He religiously and passionately prayed to Allah and thanked HIM for his presents and blessings.

Even though he remained ill through out his life, one habit I’m proud to inform you all that he fully enjoyed his life. He brimmed with energy. You could crack a joke with him at any random time in any situation. It was never a dull moment with him. His presence would lit up a room. He was center of attention in a party. He was an easy-going man - it was so simple to have a chat with him regarding any topic. I often discussed my personal life only with him because it was so effortless. He would keep your secrets and I blindly trusted him. He was my go to guy to seek advice. He was always there for you when it mattered. He will let you rant to him. I used to wait for his calls so I could vent out my frustration. Dhoni183 was a marvellous listener. He was a true friend. I was lucky to have known him. I’ve had the chance to learn a lot about life through his eyes. I admired his trait of calmness and matureness.

MS Dhoni if you are reading this - you lost a fan yesterday. I’m not sure if a word ‘fan’ is suitable in this case. He was larger than a fan. You were his life and he tirelessly adored you. I can bet Dhoni183 remembered your every single boundary or a catch/stumping you took till his last breath. I wish you had met him at least once when he was alive. I hope you get to read his tribute to you when you retired in August, 2020. I promise you - nobody can write that.

I would like to grab this opportunity to praise his parents and siblings. Dhoni183 was their life if I could put it in a simple word. He lived like a prince due to them. He was a royal in the home. I don’t know how they will proceed from here onward. I pray to Allah and request you all to pray for their sabar. His parents will be distraught and broken. His siblings will be shattered. His little nieces and nephews will be traumatized. Its an irreplaceable loss. People like Dhoni183 are rare and they are not born everyday. He was a special human being.

I wish I could hug you man. I hope you are smiling and having fun wherever you are. I desire that you are finally at peace. I love you. I dont know if I did justice to our friendship but it was an honour to have you with me. Next time until we meet.

JazakALLAH for this tribute to our brother.

I am completely in shock and my stomach feels like a twisted rope. And I do not even know why I am feeling this way about a person who I've never met, never interacted with at all.

His posts were so informative, so non-confrontational and eminently readable.

No point in thinking why I feel this way but I just feel devastated. Such a waste of a young life.

I guess among other things the reason for my shock is that I had zero idea about his health complications so this news really hit me super hard.

Rest in peace brother.

Wow I'm lost for words...

For some background, I used to frequent PP a lot many years ago and be a more regular poster. But over time, I stopped posting and started to just lurk here and only read threads from time to time.

The only time I would actually log in and post would be for football/cricket prediction tournaments which DHONI183 would always be hosting and starting. Just go through my latest posts section and you will see that the vast majority of my latest posts have all been in these prediction threads and very often talking to DHONI183 - FIFA World Cup 2022, Cricket World Cup 2022, Euros 2021...

DHONI183 and I had a fun little rivalry going on as I had been regularly playing these tournaments with him over the years but he always managed to beat me. He was truly great at predictions. We had some good banter and he was always witty, yet kind and friendly.

Whenever a big sporting event came around, one of my first thoughts was - "I better log in to PP to see if DHONI183 has started the prediction tournament yet - I really want to beat him this time". I know when the next event comes around I'm gonna get that same thought again and be hit with the reality that he is no longer here.

It's so weird that you can feel this way about someone you've never met but even through our limited interactions over the years, he felt like a friend.

I remember him saying a little while back that he was in hospital and due to his health he may not participate in upcoming predictions, but I didn't know it was this bad.

I know I never met him or really even knew him much at all, but this news really hurt. May Allah grant him Jannah and give patience to his loved ones. He will be missed.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajiun.

He was so nice to me when I made my debut on PP back in around 2007. Will never forget.

May Allah give this brother Jannah. Interesting to read the interview and see that he comes on PP to defend Islam etc. may Allah give him paradise!

Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon

Dhoni183, Hash, planetpakistan and myself had great fun in those early years exchanging messages in our time pass section. He was always very friendly and had an angel type of personality. Very sad to hear this news

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiyun!! May ALLAH award our brother to Jannatul Ferdous.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un - Condolences to family, friends and the PP community. May Allah SWT bless him with Jannah and grant his loved ones sabr
