Lol @ the posters who think Sreesanth would have made a come back to the national team had he not been involved with spot fixing.
If Balajee and Nehra can then why not he?

Yeah, amir was 17 when he got caught, we want him back .Its pretty easy to influence a kid from a village specially if its coming from an authority figure like the captain of the team.
Yes ofc. A guy from a village absolutely CANNOT have a sinister mindset.
The villages have such simple fellows that you ask them to cut off the branch they are sitting on, 10 out of 10 will do it.
You were not there in the team/meetings to take the call whether aamir was a lalloo who was shepherded by the so called seniors.
It's a 50-50 chance and for a team where fixing has been a constant factor, you can ill afford to keep such people in. The incidents like fixing, swearing on a holy book to bring about a downfall, player hitting his own team mate with a bat, egos, purchi system and vested family interests overshadow national duty, i dont think aamir was of a clean slate.
The BCCI knows that he is a fixer, the court couldn't prove it but he was banned anyway. Fixer is a fixer regardless of how they fool the justice system. Think about Chris Cairns, McCullum testified in the court but Cairns still got away. This isn't gonna work with BCCI.
How does BCCI know it? The court should always have the last say or else it will send a wrong message
It will send rather send a strong message. No place for fixer in Indian team. You fix and you’re done for regardless how much talented you maybe.
You dont trust the Indian judiciary?
Then why did they reverse their decision?
True. One time the court lifts the ban because they cant find proof , another time they re-impose it because BCCI explains it is against the norms. Quite sure sreesanth will pursue it further. Lets see what happens eventually but banning people without proof can set a dangerous precedent is all i am saying.
There may not have enough evidence to sentence him for criminal charges that is required by court of law, however BCCI may have found just enough evidence to ban him. Sree should be lucky that he got away with ban only and not some jail time, should focus on other things now rather than taking on court.
Regardless of whatever the end verdict maybe, he is never representing India ever again. BCCI never gives second chance which i like the most about it. Fixers should stay away from Indian cricket.
Evidence is evidence. If its good for BCCI, it should be good for court as well.
How does BCCI know it? The court should always have the last say or else it will send a wrong message
Disgraceful as poor Sree is being made scapegoat again.
What about all the other IPL Mafia dons in Chennai super kings, the underworld illegal Mumbai betting syndicates etc. Are they all being tackled as well ??
Probably not so just keep blaming Sreesanth for all IPL and Indian match fixing.
#keep the dirt under the rug.
Which is why Kerala high court upheld the original decision to ban Sree
Criminals hire the best lawyers to escape through holes in the justice system. This is why some lawyers make more than $500,000 a year. BCCI knows he is a crook, so they banned him forever. Azharuddin got a way and you have Shastri and Gavaskar in hidden cameras talking about what kind of wealthy lifestyle he lived before big money came to cricket in Cricket, he got away as well.
Evidence is evidence. If its good for BCCI, it should be good for court as well.
wrong. A private company is not a court of law. In a court of law i have to have broken one of my country's laws to be deemed guilty. In a private firm i just need to break their own private rules. A private firm can give me a life ban just because i am late everyday or for disciplinary reasons. Will a court of law punish me for the same?
Things like meeting a bookie is against bcci rules but not illegal in a court of law
Some very Good points. Thanks.
I have a question. Is IPL governed by a private body which has its separate rules? Or it doesnt matter whether its public or private?
Also does bcci have conclusive evidence that sreesanth met with the bookies (without reporting it ofcourse)? I Have not followed this part of the case.
Then close down those loopholes which lawyers exploit. Until then, you cant punidh someone just because you feel he is guilty and dont have conclusive evidence. I am talking generally, not sreesanth's case because Kerela high court must have been convinced by the evidence provided by BCCI. I will still wait for the eventual outcome after sreesanth pursues it in SC.
CSK wasnt involved in fixing, owner was caught BETTING, and for that his team was suspended for two years. If you have a source proving match was fixed by IPL/CSK then please provide me and ill accept im wrong, if not then your post is nothing but a rant and have no facts.
Sreesanth is such a disgrace like Azhar was in 90s. Glad BCCI have balls to banned them for life.
man dont be so naive .there r reports of ms dhoni and other 6 players names mentioned in a sealed envelope submitted to supreme court about their involvement. but strangely the names of those players were never revealed.
Blame supreme court or the ministers not the players. If they were indeed guilty why did Supreme court not punished them?
Just becuase someone put your name in an envelope doesnt make u guilty. You can believe whatever you want to, and stop calling people naive just because they dont think like you.

It is with proofs they mentioned names of those players involved in fixing.
U r the one who said there is no proof of player involvement from csk. I mentioned to u the reports circulated all over indian media about players other than the ones caught in spot fixing and the names of players submitted in sealed envelope to Supreme court.
U r quitely ignoring them and dissing the guy u hate
They have punished the franchise instead of the players.
If u think there is no cover up of players wrong doings then there is nothing to discuss
Lets see the eventual outcome.
Thats what i m saying Supreme Court is corrupt and to limit further damage to cricket they brushed it under the carpet.Have u seen that proof because i have not. Like i said why didnt supreme court punished the players, why didnt BCCI punished them?
Just because names circulated in media doesnt make them guilty, you need a proof. Indian media is probably most corrupt ones out there, id never believe whatever they have to say.
So, either supreme court is corrupt or the proof wasnt enough, pick your choice.
I m not cooking any conspiracy. It is front page news all over. But u r ignoring it conveniently. You’re cooking up conspiracy now since you cant prove that players were indeed involved. Yes there isnt anything to disucss if you’re only gonna cook up some conspiracy.

We have a logical Indian fan here, everyone. I think most Indians know there was some cover up and prefer not to discuss it because the Supreme Court decision is final. I would actually say that it takes guile to cover up something the way BCCI did. That was the right way to handle it and I wish PCB had the same capability. We really need it! Fixing issue runs much deeper than we know of and we've seen over and over again how prevalent it is. There's always a scapegoat and it's better if the can of worms isn't opened and analyzed, sadly.

Yknow right when players name is randomly thrown in media for some cooked up story, it will leave behind lasting impression even if the player(s) weren’t guilty of anything. In this case name of Raina/Dhoni were caught up in crossfire, and Supreme court did right thing taking matters in their own hands. Now some people here think Supremecourt is corrupt(they may be) but why would they do it? Its the same supreme court who took on Ambanis(richest Indian), same supreme court who have took on BCCI( richest sporting body in India) and there are many other instances where even a powerful person were made look silly by Supreme court.
So, unless if you guys have actually seen an evidence where players were invovled in fishy business, i suggest stop defaming them.
Whats with some of your guys new found love for Sree here, he is no scape goat here, he was caught on camera where he was meeting up with bookie outside his hotel. Now, what was he doing late meeting up with bookie?
There is enough circumstanial evidence to ban him but not enough to prosecute him in court of law for crime.

No love for anyone. I actually like how no important information about the incident is in public light and it's already dug pretty deep. No one cares about this incident now. It was handled in the right manner. But if you're to put two and 2 together, it's very plausible that the owner had some players involved if he was betting on his team.
This issue is over and it's not like India lost a valuable player. Should just move on.
I don't have a second for sreesanth and i strongly believe he is guilty.
My problem is u r conveniently ignoring other players involvement.
Untill Supreme Court discloses the names of players people have every reason to believe its a cover up
Thats the confusion part, some fans think owner was invovled in fixing, but he was invovled with betting. Betting is illegal in India for which he paid price(losing the ownership of club) and franchise were also charged with suspension. But here sachin100 is claiming totally different thing.
Do u know how much is gurunath meyappan worth? Do u know how much is rajkundra s worth?Do you even know how silly that sounds, one of the name that was in media was of Dhoni.
MS Dhoni makes 26M per year during the fixing saga. So, why would he wanna risk all that money just for few thousands of $$? Or unless he was being paid more than 26M that made him take risk?
So, now you also think Dhoni is fool enough to damage his earning plus his legacy just for few thousands dollars?
Think logically and not just blindly follow the Indian media which is probably most corrupt media organisation in world. I dont even know if anyone take them seriously, they are like Big boss, a cooked up reality show nothing else.
You think he would bet on his team without having someone working on the inside?
Do u know how much is gurunath meyappan worth? Do u know how much is rajkundra s worth?
Do they need betting and tarnish their image? Greed has no limits
Again, you’re only replying with assumptions/speculations. How is Meyappan’s greed have anything to do with Dhoni? Meyappan may have more wealth but 80% of Indians dont even know him. But Dhoni is household name, he have his brand, his legacy that Meyappan would never have. Its not always about money
If he is so pure his name would not have come in the first placeAgain, you’re only replying with assumptions/speculations. How is Meyappan’s greed have anything to do with Dhoni? Not one reporter. It is reported on so many news papers. What if a news reporter was only venting on him and used his name, are u 100% sure that news is true and not cooked up story?
Lets end this subject here, you’re free to believe anything you want but Id suggest to be little cautious as your claim is borderline defamation. Mods might not allow it.
Not one reporter. It is reported on so many news papers.
U r also free not to believe the news.
Well first i dont write story based on my imagination, and if i do it should belong to comic section and not in front page. Secondly, journalism isnt my thing, and i dont even live in India anymore.
Indian media is like group of herds, where one goes everyone follows. Did any of the media provided to public the actual evidence or they just kept saying “according to our unknown sources”. Indian media is well known fir diverting people’s mind from reality. Indian news should be renamed to Marvel or DC comics, they do come up with great stories.
Well the same media have also known for cooking up story. In Mumbai reporter buys of kids to pretend to be stuck in pothholes during monsoon so they can potray that Municipal organisation arent doing their jobs. Ive witnessed such media drama and i never trust them. The same media has exposed corruption and has brought so many governments down as well.
Nobody is questioning bcci stance on him. We want fixers banned for ever.Anyways lets not divert from topic, here we are discussing SREE and not players whos names were in list.

Dhoni makes $30,000,000 a year. Why would he risk his career and future gains to fix matches for couple of hundred thousands ?It is the smaller guys who are targeted.
that is exactly im asking him why would legend like Dhoni risk everything for small bucks. He have no logical explanations and would call Dhoni hungry for more money.
