Is India the worst destination for travel tourism?

@finalfantasy7 we do not usually allow frequent YT videos from random sources. Please do not spread hate. Similar could be found from other vloggers about Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other nations.

let PP be a peaceful and unbiased place for people to discuss their opinions without derailing threads.

Indians spread hate about Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, and other nationalities also. I guess they can dish it out but can't take it.

Also, these incidents seem to happen in India far more than other countries. :inti

Respectfully bro, Indian posters regularly pile in on British Pakistanis and make really tawdry comments about grooming gangs, Bradford, etc. At least these videos are often made by neutrals and are a reflection of the rise in resentment against Indians generally in the modern era.

If Indian posters were respectful towards their hosts then I would be the first to stand for their rights. But when you have posters such as @Devadwal spamming the forums with constant propaganda and anti-Pakistan videos, why would you ask Pakistanis to face them with one hand tied behind their back?

Really surprised if India is so bad for tourists why foreign tourists visiting in upward swing with good margins

Just chacked stats

India records 42.63 Lakh foreign tourist arrivals till June 2025

In 2024, India recorded approximately 9.95 to 10 million (99.5 to 100 lakh) Foreign Tourist Arrivals (FTAs)

Surprised to see after seeing posts here..
My state Tamilnadu has more foreign than Pakistan visitors than Pakistan based on stats .

Actually it is bit surprising Tamilnadu doesn't have much tourists attraction besides beaches and ols temples which are mostly crowded
Tamil Nadu logged 7.8lakh foreign visitors up to July this calendar year so far

His post 153 reports it - go watch the video

As @Ball Blazer said, there is no point in randomly posting youtube videos. I can post 10 such vlogger videos talking about Pak and BD. What are you trying to achieve by posting these videos anyway? Trying to prove how bad India is and how superior Pakistan is in comparison? Lets be honest, even you know that is not true. India is a better country across every sector. You, I and everyone knows it. So these videos comes across as propaganda.

Remember, this is a discussion forum. You should be writing more and engaging in debates rather than posting random videos.

Manali tourist records video of alleged 'snow scam' by guides, sparks discussion

A Manali tourist recorded a video of people being scammed with a tiny artificial snow patch for skiing, which led to heavy discussions amongst social media users.

A tourist in Manali has alleged that local guides in the Himachal Pradesh town have been scamming tourists by encouraging them to ski on a tiny, artificially gathered patch of snow despite there being no natural snowfall in the surrounding area.

Atul Chauhan posted the video on Instagram with the caption “Scam,” while the clip itself showed visuals of tourists attempting to ski on bare-minimum snow spread over the ground.

Behind the camera, Chauhan can be heard saying, “I’m in Manali, and look how these people have scammed tourists like us. They have simply thrown around a handful of snow, there’s no snow around us except this one small patch.”

As he speaks, Chauhan pans the camera left and right to show the surrounding landscape, revealing dry ground, rocks, and almost no snow beyond the small area where tourists are gathered. The video also shows how the so-called skiing spot appears to be limited to just a narrow stretch, with the rest of the area clearly lacking any snowfall.

The video received mixed reactions online, as while some users agreed with Chauhan and accused local operators of misleading tourists, others pointed out that the issue stemmed from a lack of awareness about seasonal conditions.

Several users observed that Manali did not receive snowfall year-round and blamed tourists for visiting without proper research.

One user quipped, “I have more snow in my fridge than this,” while another wrote, “You chose to pay them and do it, brother. Don’t you know if it’s snowfall time or not?”

The debate continued in the comments, with viewers split between calling it a scam and calling it a lesson in planning trips according to the season.

Family demands proper probe into woman tourist's death in Wayanad resort

The family of a woman tourist who allegedly died in a hut collapse at a resort in this hill district, on Saturday expressed doubts over the cause of her death and demanded a proper probe into the incident.

Speaking to reporters, the mother of the victim, Nimisha, said that her daughter and several of her friends were sleeping under the hut -- constructed using wooden poles and thatched with grass -- but nothing happened to others.

Her brother said the reason for their suspicion is that there were no visible injuries or blood on Nimisha's body.

"The postmortem report says that there were a lot of internal injuries, including broken bones. Moreover, the incident occurred around 2 am when everyone was sleeping in that big hut," he said.

"Her friends said that four tents were set up inside the hut, and two people were sleeping in each of them. So, how come only our child suffered this fate? If something that big collapses, there would be injuries on the body. But, there was nothing like that," he said.

He said that there was a small trickle of blood from his sister's mouth, but the medical examiner said it was due to the blood entering the lungs and then coming out.

"So, we want to know what actually happened there," he added.

Nishma's mother also asked why such an unsafe hut was given for the stay, and how the resort has permission for such unsafe huts which would collapse in a rain.

Why India is one of the most dangerous places in the world for women | DW Documentary

Major Indian cities like Kolkata have seen mass protests against sexual violence. In rural India, justice for the rape or sexual abuse of young girls is hard to come by.Families face threats, not justice. Systemic failures in law enforcement and judicial delays leave children and young girls vulnerable to brutal violence.
Perpetrators are shielded by apathy, caste dynamics, and power. Laws meant to protect offer little relief or empathy to victims. Masoom, Chandralekha, Sarita, and thousands of girls like them live with the trauma of victim-blaming. But some social activists are trying to change the status quo. Grassroots efforts, from school campaigns to street plays, are breaking the silence. DW’s Akanksha Saxena uncovers both the crisis and the fight for justice in places often missing from the headlines.
